Can someone go into more details on this guy and what his problems are?

He's 20 years old and has played for 4 club teams, 2 national teams and retired once.

Was with Celtic in their youth set-up. Left in 2007 because he didn't want to put in his time in the reserves (said he "didn't want to shine someone's boots, what kind of old school crap is that" in a recent interview). Went to Feyenoord, but ended up leaving there because everyone else had an attitude problem. Actually, he "retired" (he was 19 at the time) and moved back to Vancouver to, essentially, party with his friends for the year. He was offered a trial with the Sounders, but abruptly turned it down and instead trained with the Whitecaps for a while before eventually going back to Holland to FC Utrecht.
Internationally, he recently accepted a call-up from Canada, they sent him ravel arrangements, had some nice chats with him, and then sat back and watched as he told them via e-mail that he was going to play for the Czech u-21 team instead.
Yet many Canadians will applaud his decision because, you know, we suck.
So, basically it’s the same shit as always, just a different day.

What the hell does "Lensky has tremendous upside" mean? In that grey box along the side of the article the last paragraph starts with that sentence.
I've seen tremendous backside in my time, but this is a new one. I've never known anyone with tremendous upside.
Also, the dude in that picture is at least 35 years old, no?
That dude's former clubs list should set off alarm bells in anyone's mind. Decent clubs the lot of 'em, but how the fuck did he end up at all of them in such a short period of time? Agent of the year or has he got an awesome Youtube video out there somewhere?

Meh, better off without him.

Maybe, but it's really disheartening to see these kids shrug off Canada like we are nothing.
I think we all know how good (on paper) Canada would be if these guys stuck around. Is it time to go looking for Brazilians to naturalize?

He's probably already here. But it's like Superman without the sun. Until he hears the rhythm of some samba music he's just like you and me.
Or so it goes....

^^ Beautiful stuff TIA ;)
And what are the "plans" for Dero? Leaving him out now... and as they said on the Soccer Show last night, it's not like he is getting a ton of games with Canada at all...

Hart is experimenting. He did say that this was going to be an all-European based team. With Julian training in Spain right now, it made sense to include him so that would make Jakovic the only realy exception to the European statement.
DeRo has just finished his season. I say let him rest up and allow Hart to fiddle with his line-up without wasting DeRo's time.
