Rebelious and anything but an angel, Ms. Straaus is one hard student to keep track of and a harder friend to keep entertained. Underage drinking is her calling. She likes the older boys, though she often corrupts the younger ones by pretending to like them. She was on PINS at 13 and had a few angelic months, but then she met her best friend and traveled down her lonely, hard road. Her parents would do anything for their only child to be back to "normal". Probation officers are often at their house, bringing Melanie home from parties and whatnot.

Quiet and the youngest out of three other brothers, Emery takes pride in his work and actually enjoys school. He's not an athlete like his oldest brother or booksmart like his other brother. In facts, he tries very hard in school to get good grades. He isn't even drop-out smart like his last brother, who dropped out of high school and opened a thriving pet/tack shop. Emery enjoys art and music, though he's not as good as some at them. He doesn't enjoy watching or playing sports and sometimes is called a "homo" or made fun of for it. Emery has a hard time fitting in; but, yet, he doesn't feel the need to. He likes himself just fine, but wishes that there was something - anything - he was GREAT at.

Little Chelsea has a lot to live up to. Her big sister Amelia is the one who demanded that all of the other cliques got along with each other. Chelsea has a huge amount of pressure being put on her and she doesn't think that she can handle any more stress. Her parents expect her to be like her older sister. And her peers think that she should be just like her sister. Now she tries, it's just that she has a B average and isn't the captain of the cheerleading squad. Will Chelsea ever live up to the expectations of everybody else?

Aiden and Garret used to be best friends. They'd do everything together and they didn't keep anything from each other. Until last year when one day Aiden seen Garret making out with his girlfriend. Now this really got him mad, especially when he beleived his girlfriend when she said that Garret was the one who had started the whole thing. So, he started a few very awful rumors up about Garret. One of them was that Garret had gotten his own girlfriend at the time pregnant. As soon as Garret found out about who started that rumor the two got into a huge argument in front of the whole high school. And if a group of people hadn't gotten in between them it would have been one huge first fight. So now, Aiden refuses to talk to Garret and when they do see each other it's like seeing two cats ready to attack.

Garret's mad at Aiden since he refused to hear his whole side of the story when it came to the whole girlfriend incident. He wasn't the one who threw himself at Aiden's girlfriend and started making out with her. Aiden's girlfriend was the one that did that and blamed it all on him. Everything just sort of escalated more when he heard about the little rumor that Aiden had started up. At first he thought that the two could just get over it and remain friends. Well, he figures that isn't the case now. In fact, he doesn't even know if he wants to speak to Garret ever again. When the two are in the same room Garret will move to the other side of it and stand with his back to Aiden. Deep down inside of him though, he wishes that the two could still be friends. Will he ever say this to Aiden?

Nora is a booksmart girl, she's got a small group of friends but most people have just labeled her a nerd which has made her become an outcast. That is until she meets Mark Thomas, the new kid. Even though he keeps teasing her and going out of his way to make her life miserable she's developed a crush on him. Every time she sees him, she blushes and he makes fun of her for it which only make her blush some more. What is the poor girl going to to about this?

Mark is the new kid who's determined to make himself known in the high school. Sure he may be halfway decent at basketball, he isn't the star to the junior varsety team. But he thinks that he is. How does he go about making a name for himself. Well, he shows off constantly and picks on people that he deems "lower" then him. The person that he loves to pick on the most is Nora. But the thing is..he's developed a crush on Nora. But he figures that he's already dug himself a hole that he can't get out of. He thinks if he stops teasing her then people will think that he's weak. Not to mention, another girl likes him and she's popular. But Mark isn't so sure that he likes her back.

Belle could be considered the queen bee when it comes to the freshmen. She gets the boys attention just by walking into a room. Sure she flirts here and there but the one that she's had her eye on is Mark. Only, she doesn't think that it's so funny that he teases Nora all of the time. After all, Nora lets her cheat on tests. But it's very hard for her to hide her feelings from Mark, she knows that he's got a hint about her liking him. He just doesn't know how much she likes him. Will she tell Mark her true feelings and maybe stop Nora from being teased?

Generally, Isla is a quiet, but relatively average 17 year old. She is pretty plain, and doesn't exactly make a statement. She usually goes by her middle name, May, because so many people have managed to butcher her first one. So May, as we will call her, is indescribably drawn to Sebastian, labeled scene by most at her school. Yet, he shoes very little interest in her, preferring more "hard core" chicks. However, she is persistent, and will not give up quite that easily. Will she ever managed to get his attention long enough to tell him how she really feels?

Sebastian is a relatively cliche emo kid. There is no reason not to label him, because he is no more creative then the eyeliner he wears. He's certainly not one of those interesting emo kids, he's just an all around cookie-cutter creation. As I've stated many times, there is nothing particularly interesting about Sebastian. Except somehow he has found himself drawn to somebody that couldn't be further outside of his clique. This radical crush seems makes his friends distant, and now not only is he the boring kid, he's the kid whining about how alone he is in the world. The sad thing is, he really is alone. For now.

Khalia, the object of Sebastian's affection, is completely oblivious to his attempts to get her attention. Furthermore, she is often the mastermind behind many of her best friend May's efforts to get Sebastian to notice she is on the face of the planet.
