Title: Did you have Gameboy or GameGear?

Which did you prefer?

When my older brother (because I never got video games for christmas, only toys and shit ;___;) first got a gamegear we thought it was pretty fucking sweet. We had some neat games (sonic ect), it was colour, and had awesome sound. But for some retarded reason that fat fuck traded it with our cousin for her gameboy.

At the time I hated the gameboy but after years of great success its hard to ignore it. I can't say the original gameboy did much for me but the later versions are definately cool.

What did you have? What do you have now?? Ds?? PSP?? I still have that old school gameboy with only one or two games ;p.

Gameboy. All the way.

Now I've got my DS which gathers dust and gets played maybe once a month.

i had both, now i just play both on emulators for the ds!!

I had a gamegear, then I got a Gameboy Advance SP thing and now I own a DS.

I've never owned one myself, but my brother got a Gameboy. Then another Gameboy, a Gameboy Pocket Colour, a Gameboy Advance SP, a DS and a PSP.

I don't have a Game Gear either, but I wouldn't mind owning one. Plus I wouldn't mind owning an Atari Lynx, and any other handheld I can find as well.

Had a game boy... Have a DS.

I loved the nintendo systems, they just had the better games.

i am going to have to say game gear only because at the time it was state of the art though it really lacked games.

I've owned every iteration of Nintendo handheld except for the Gameboy Micro. I had a PSP, but I sold it for lack of games that interested me. Seriously, if I wanted to play PS2 games, I'd play them on a PS2.

there was nothing really worthwhile on gamegear except for sonic and the GG-ed versions of sega puzzle games like columns and robotnik's mean bean machine.

gameboy. gamegear was gay. i dont own any handhelds now as the DS is basically a gimick machine. and the psp has very few games i want to play.

Man. I still have one of those. :o

I used to play my game gear all the time. The only thing that I could say was a downside to the game gear was it needed 6 fucking AA batteries to operate it. I did have the battery pack but it took forever to charge, didn't last very long and it was nearly as big as the game gear itself. Once I got my hands on a gameboy color I never used the game gear again.

I had a gameboy and loved it...

Never thought there were enough games for the Gamegear...

Deckard - April 11, 2008 05:08 PM (GMT)
I had a gamegear. It's sad really, it took the gameboy like 5 years after the gamegear died before they managed to make something as powerful as the old gamegear. I agree though, there weren't all that many games for it, but there were quite a few good ones, like sonic triple trouble, tails adventure, and echo the dolphin. And there was also Sonic 2 (not to be confused with the genesis game of the same name), one of the most insanely hard sonic games ever concieved.

Got a brick for my birthday, then got a Color from my friend. The Color one broke before the original, and I was kicking ass in Mario Tennis, too...:(
