Today I have been playing 'I wanna be the guy'.

It's got a retro Manic Miner/Rick Dangerous 'learn how to avoid the invisible hazards through repeated death' style to it. But it makes no secret of what it is, and it actually does it pretty well so I can't bring myself to hate it.

Lately I have been mostly playing:

Need for Speed 2 (PSX) - Damn this game looks like ass on the PSX. The blocky graphics mean you can't tell where the hell you're driving. Still, underneath the harsh early textured polygon look, beats the heart of Need for Speed 2. And that makes it awesome.

Einhander (PSX) - This looks much prettier and I was getting into it until I learned that one hit = death. I don't have the patience for one hit deaths right now.

Marvel vs Capcom (PSX) - Damn this game is hard. I played what must have been close to 10 matches, but I couldn't get past the very first opponent. I hate you 'Jin', whoever the fuck you are. I hate you so much.

Makai Kingdom (PS2) - This seems like it might be a great tactical RPG. Only problem I've got with the game so far is that it's hard to select the right character to attack. I keep ending up murdering my own guys.

Advance Wars Days of Ruin/ The Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass..

I'm still playing through Makai Kingdom.



Actually I just lost two or three hours of work when I got my team killed in a free dungeon after managing to fight through 29 other levels in a row. Which is kinda a pain in the ass.

I'm still planning to switch it back on and try again next chance I get though. I think I know where I went wrong last time...

Picross DS - This game is the best game on the DS, go buy it. It's probably the best puzzle game I've ever played

Lately I've been playing:



Stranglehold is pretty good, it feels like the next step on from Max Payne. It's great to be able to use all the scenery to your advantage, kicking over tables to use for cover, sliding over counters, shooting down things onto people's heads etc. Plus it has the best menu screen in the history of gaming.

Phantom Brave is a lot like Disgaea and Makai Kingdom, except perhaps not quite as good. Each character has their own turn, like Final Fantasy Tactics, which slows things down and stops you from planning synchronized attacks. Plus the plot is really depressing so far, the two main characters really get shit on by life.


Also, I played a bit of Bomberman Live. There should be laws against releasing Bomberman games without the proper Bomberman music :(

Just been playing some of the game Xbox Live Arcade game 'The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai'

I love this shit, best side-scrolling beat 'em up ever. Way more professional than I expected it to be. It's the kind of game that I get bored of in 10 minutes, but it was 10 great minutes.

Well I dont spend time playing games on any systems, but PC. I have spend time playing 3D MMORPG games, like LastChaos. Also spend time programming and my my shareware site called "ShadowGhost Software".

Bioshock, Assassins Creed.

Been playing this pretty solidly, just finishing the last case at the moment. Other than that, my old vice Counter-Strike Source, been playing a bit of indie mod 'Fistful of Frags' (good western HL2 mod), bit of soldat, Guitar Hero 2 + 3, annnnd that's about it!
