Link, has been unashamedly dressed in that outfit for almost 23 years. From Legend of Zelda.
Mega Man. Kills other robots to steal their powers, and also save the world.
Samus Aran, practically invented rolling into a ball and dropping bombs. From Metroid.
Pikachu. Mario's off fighting Sonic, so Pikachu's standing in for him. From Pokémon.

True. I put him on the list because he's an old school NES hero with a strong association with Nintendo.
