The new dashboard has appeared on my 360 and it looks okay. Doesn't seem to load any faster, but the pictures swish on screen in a pleasing manner and the menu's less confusing now.

But what's the deal with the Mii wannabe avatar you're stuck with? It probably appeals to Viva Piñata players, but I can imagine the hardcore Gears of War, Halo gamers seeing 'please choose your cartoon avatar!' appear. jumping up and screaming 'WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT?' at the screen, knocking their lager over everything. At least the Wii lets you hide your cartoon doppelgänger away somewhere where no one has to see it, the 360 puts it all over your friends list. It's like I've download the Sims themed dashboard.

I may change my mind about this if I can unlock little guns and shit to put on my virtual doll later though.

Mii60's are a waste of my time.

A little annoying to navigate, but cool looking.

All Apple style clean floating pictures and reflections, laid out like the PS3 menu, with a childish looking Mii staring back at you.

On the plus side, you can do stuff like make the guy angry by shaking his head, dizzy by rotating the pad, and if you pull up and down in the right way in a close up view you can smash his little head against the screen.
