Title: Okay, here's the deal.

FrozenDarkness - December 10, 2008 10:52 AM (GMT)
I first discovered RPG Maker 95 back when I was in fifth grade. That night, I stayed up later than I ever had before in my life trying to make a game. Six months later when I figured out those damn switches, I began spending every night at my computer on that thing. I'm giving you this history because I recently discovered something about myself...

I'm a writer. I'm not a programmer, I'm not an artist, I'm not musically inclined. I write. The problem is, everything I want to do requires other people. If I write a screenplay, I need people to act and produce. If I write a comic, I need someone to draw and letter. If I write a game, I need someone to draw, program, and compose.

This is where I ask for everyone's help. I know I can write a kick-ass game, but the plot is useless without your help. Just think of me as Nick Fury. I want to assemble a team.

Don't think of me as someone who's trying to exploit your talents. Make no mistake, I'm going to be bringing my own talents to the table. I want us to work together to bring out a well written, beautifully executed game. If anyone is interested in working on a team project, please respond here. I have several ideas already.

I would like to bring my music to the table.

If your unsure and really want to have Gintech do it, then at the end of december I'll have a soundtrack that'll blow you away :D

Thanks for the support. I know I must have heard some of your stuff, but can you link me to some samples?

I suppose I shouldn't have envisioned this moment as the formation of the Fellowship ("And my pixels!"), but I was hoping to at least gather a few more people. I have a few ideas for a game (probably a short one just to see if we can pull it off). I want to make a platformer somewhere between Mega Man/Metroid and Xenosaga/Final Fantasy. Something that's exploration-based, but with captivating combat and interesting plot. I have the story written out for the major project I want to do some day, but as I said, I want to do a short hour-long demo. Would anyone be interested in being involved?

The Majestic is much closer to the music I am making at the moment than the others.

Unfortunately I can't give you any of the music I am making until the end of December.
