Title: Best Movies of 2008
Dajhail - December 27, 2008 11:51 AM (GMT)
What were the best films released this year in your opinion?
I've been too lazy to watch movies lately and I haven't seen much of anything. But from what I did see, this would be my top movies list.
1. The Dark Knight - Had a couple of stupid moments, but I'm half convinced that Christopher Nolan is deliberately sabotaging his movies so he can improve on them with the sequels. Batman Begins had the comedy cops narrating the Tumbler chase, this had kids blowing up cars with their fingers... the next one will just show the damn chase and everyone will praise it as being the best one yet. But yeah, Dark Knight was still a great movie.
2. Iron Man - If Dark Knight hadn't shown up and stolen its thunder, this would have easily been the best movie I've seen this year. It's pure quality, and the actors are all excellent in their roles.
3. Wanted - I was expecting crap, but what I got was a likeable, stylish action movie with some great moments.
4. Quantum of Solace - I needed to refer to themoviespoiler.com after each scene to find out what I just watched, where the characters were going next, and why. Plus the camera seemed not to care much about what Bond was doing, and often wandered off to go watch the extras for a bit. But despite that I kinda liked the movie. It's way way better than another Die Another Day.
5. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - It was slightly better than Incredible Hulk, and I wanted to put five movies on this list.

I like you Dajhail but you should be ashamed of this movie, it was complete trash and Fords heart wasn't in it either. Lucas ruins all of his classic flicks because he cant think of anything else to do anymore besides "upgrading" them.
Anyhow i am going with
1) The Dark Knight
2) Iron Man
3) Tropic Thunder

But it was still slightly more entertaining than Incredible Hulk.
My only regret is that I didn't watch more than six movies last year.
Edit:
After seeing Tropic Thunder I think I'm going to have to alter my list slightly.
1. The Dark Knight
2. Iron Man
3. Tropic Thunder
4. Wanted
5. Quantum of Solace
Sorry Indy.

1. The Dark Knight
2. Indiana Jones
3. The Incredible Hulk
4. Iron Man
5. I Am Legend
-----
EDIT: Twilight Sucks.
EDIT2: Twilight's music sucks worse. I guess that serves the movie justly.
