There are certain action movies that everyone needs to have seen at least once, or else their lives become empty and without meaning. To help avoid others falling victim to this tragedy, I've decided to build up a definitive list of much-watch action movies for people to use as a reference.

Yes Transporter should have been mentioned much sooner.

Also, I'm gonna add Con Air, The Rock, and Face Off because I can. And I would add Conan The Barbarian but I don't think it's considered part of the action genre.

How could I forget about John Woo and Jackie Chan in a list of action movies? :(

I've got to add Speed to the list, it's a classic. It even has Dennis Hopper in it, and Cameron from Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

I have just seen Shoot 'Em Up, and I've got to wonder how you could say Transporter was better than it.

I mean neither of them are in any danger of being accused of being intelligent or meaningful, but Shoot 'Em Up had far more wit, charm and imagination than I remember Transporter having.

It's been a while since I saw it, but I don't think The Transporter has any business being on a 'action movies everyone needs to see' list. I'm not quite sure Shoot 'Em Up has earned its place there either yet, but it definitely entertained.

So yeah, that's one vote to remove The Transporter, and one kind of in favour of Shoot 'Em Up staying.

Shoot Em Up had a strapping young lad video so hell ya.
