So joining up with friends and eating is mature, but joining up with friends and having a drink is childish and immature?
To be honest I don't think the article is really picking on Halo 3, or any games. It seems to suggest that any form of entertainment that involves sitting around with friends and having a laugh is bad, and that men will eventually grow out of it. And into a more productive life of shopping and travelling no doubt.

And in terms of the article, I think that 'video games' aren't bad, but I think that people who play Halo religiously (IN MY EXPERIENCE) are the jock, douche-bag assholes I hated in high school. I grew up and moved out, got a career while they stayed the same. And seriously, I'm-a play games A LOT. Just not Halo. The article, in my opinion, has some merit but it is told in very broad strokes.
