But I haven't. In fact, far from that.
So what has Gintech been up to this whole time? Work. Because it's what you do in the real world. But in the world of RPG2KNET a.k.a. "My Sparest of Spare Times" I've been working on new music for convergence. So what has been brought for the dinner table this time? Well, only the appetizers, the Entrée is on its way.
So until we bring in the main dish, I've decided to make these three little lovelies using just a few of the instruments from the sound palette of the upcoming overture. These three actually make up one song. I decided I'd give you a challenge instead of just music. These loops at exactly the same rate and are the same length. What you as a programmer need to do is program these three songs so that they fade into one another seamlessly, thus creating the 'progressive' feel of most good games with good music. As you progress through the specific dungeon/underground area, the music subtly gets more intense and rhythmic. By the way, this is one of those times, where a quiet song, is more intense than a loud one can ever be. The subtle progressing minor seconds of this piece are much more alarming than overpowering rhythms of large scale songs, in this case. IN THIS CASE.
But anyways, the main piece which is titled, "Convergence Overture" is coming soon. It is an epic piece of orchestrated goodness. From this 7-10 minute beast, we'll I'll extract the remaining pieces to be done.
So... dig in!
