I never heard the original soundtrack so I've got nothing to compare it to, but that sounds fucking awesome for the most part. I'm greatly impressed and unendingly jealous of your skill.
It's nice, but I still thought that X2 had one of the better soundtracks of the Mega Man X series, I expected an arranged version of the soundtrack when I first listened to it, but this is totally different. It's really good, I just was hoping for something more arranged with less 16bit sound
