Hehe they should be fine, but you really should consider getting a fast dual core rather than a slow quad one.. In case you were planning on playing games that MIGHT not actually utilize 4 or even 2 cores, you'd be left with the performance of a single core 2.3ghz processor.
I know there's plenty of trouble with quadcores and Team fortress 2 for example.
Btw, i'm not sure about this but it's the vibe i'm getting that AMD and ATI work pretty good together, while Nvidia and Intel works good with each other.. and AMD/ATI seems to be very fond of heat, both the processor and the GPU works with higher standard temperatures than most of the intel/Nvidia counterparts.
(My ati HD4870 is up at idle temps around 70-80 unless i force the fan to 50%~, and i've got an intel core 2 duo @3ghz /3ghz, all of it unclocked
