I wasn't planning to make a Convergence thread, because to be honest I'd be happier if you people forgot about it for a while and left me in peace instead of complaining that it's taken too long and we'll never get it finished and that it'll be crap anyway because it's made in RPG Maker 2k3 and not Game Maker like your beloved Barkley...

BUT this forum is so damn empty right now I thought I might as well make an actual thread about an actual project.

Currently I am getting ready to animate sprites. Getting ready, because it is intimidating the hell out of me because I haven't animated anything that isn't 3d in a long damn time. Once I get past that major obstacle we can probably have something playable soon, since at least we'll actually have people to put in battles.

Also, actual, factual Convergence website might be up soon. MIGHT. I'm in the process of finding a real job so my schedule is a bit screwy at the moment and progress is slow. Until then, most all I'm doing is drawing pictures or non-animated sprites or making useless things like wallpapers. Bleh.

Oh, here are said wallpapers if you want them. I made the layout in like 3 seconds so there could probably be better layouts.

Both of you have characters. In fact both of you are bosses. So while you may not have as huge a character as Dajhail you're still getting a lot more than the random "NPC that says 2 lines" treatment. Heh.

Okay, I've got something to say..
1. My guy better be silent or near silent. (may say a few words)
2. Must not say swear or fake swear words at all!
3. My guy better not actually die when defeated (you cannot kill something that's already dead!)

First of all, it is way too fucking late to be making demands like that or changes to your character, because I have already written the whole damn script and the casting happened at least one year ago. Second, I made your character exactly the way you act in #rpg2knet and exactly the way 2knetters see you. Finally, we've got say on what your character is and isn't and we'll kill him at our discretion. If you wanted something specific then you should have said it a long time ago. I don't want to hear crap about missing the casting thread, because, you know, we've only been talking about this damn game on IRC for the last year and a half, If you don't like it then we can always replace your character with someone else and turn you into a random npc that says one line because frankly that's all we've got room for at this point. So take it or leave it.

There's only 6 sheets there so far, and 4 pictures per sheet... meaning there's only 24 characters shown out of the 100-something featured in the game. So have patience, your time will come!

Or if you've been cut, maybe not...

Actually no one's been cut as far as I can remember, but a couple of people haven't been found roles yet.

The current status of the project is that we've done a shit load of art, we've got a lot of music, we're nearly on the third draft of the script and the custom menu has been partially coded. But, uh, no progress on the actual game yet. We should be able to get that put together relatively quickly though once we've got all of the preparation done.
