Title: post your current programming projects
adrian - February 5, 2008 06:39 PM (GMT)
let's kick off this new forum with an easy topic. post anything you're currently working on related to programming (ie no rpg maker, game maker, mmf etc).
right now i'm working on an ultra-simple cross platform 2d game engine using c++ and
clanlib. i'm currently moving very slowly, working on a collision detection/response system and trying to figure out the best way to implement it while working through my terrible sloppy code. i hope to start making a proper game with it within a couple months.
i haven't actually started on these yet but i plan to make an irc bot using java and irclib, and a sprite sheet cutting/animating/collision box editing program using C# with winforms and possibly xna if the built in winforms graphics functions don't prove robust enough.

Two unnamed projects.
The first is a zero player game that's pretty much a Progress Quest ripoff. That's being done in Ruby with GTK (not RGSS, before you bring up the RMXP thing).
The second is an auto-updater and launcher for any games I may make in the future, also in Ruby with GTK. I wonder if I should add some sort of achievement system to it and name it Not-Steam.
If I ever finish the first, I'll post the source for it, though it's not a hard concept.

It's honestly not that bad. It's like super-modular Perl.

Have a client coming up who wants an entire real estate website setup, with information on homes, rental time-slots, manageable tenants, searching, and portal for all registered homeowners in the community.
