Title: Smallville
Jessica - March 1, 2006 07:01 PM (GMT)
Lana
Lana was waiting tables in cafe in town as usual, she did this most nights now. She was saving to help her aunt (think she lives with the aunt) pay for her college. She didn't feel it was right to make her pay for it all, especially when she imposed on her. One of the students she went to school with grinned and tried to get her to give him some personal service. What did she look like, a hooker or something? She sighed and batted his hands away.
Jordana Dask - March 2, 2006 02:17 AM (GMT)
Rachel
Rachel came in through the door, knowing Lana would be there from the word at school. She had heard Lana's voice on her first day back but had not managed to catch her so she decided to go to the Talon later to say hi to her old friend.
She rolled her eyes as some guy tried to feel her up. "Don't you have something better to do than harass someone?" She asked sharply. Rachel did not care for people that put their hands where they did not belong and not wanted. She had that happen one too many times. The last one who had tried that ended up with all his fingers broken along with a bloody nose. That was the last time anyone tried that on her. She went up to the guy and smacked him on the back. "Back off!"

Lois Lane
As Lois Lane walked through the doors of the Talon, she felt a hand grabbing at her butt. "Hey baby!"
"I don't think so, buddy!" she exclaimed as she karate chopped the horny guy's hand away.
She picked an empty table and sat down. Picking up a menu, she sighed. Lois knew that chocolate was her enemy, but she was really craving it. She glanced up and down the menu, trying to find something to quench it.
Jordana Dask - March 7, 2006 12:17 AM (GMT)
Rachel
The guy turned around and smiled at her. "A fiesty one! I like them like that!" He advanced towards her, Rachel backing up away from everyone then stopped.
"Last chance. Leave or get thrown out," Rachel warned, her dark eyes narrowing in annoyanced and disgust at this man.
"Nah I dont think so. I just want some company," he chuckled.
"Sorry not available." She punched him in the gut and he doubled over. Rachel grabbed the back of his shirt and dragged him towards the door. She tossed him out, kicking him in the rear and winced as he hit a parking meter. "Thats gonna leave a mark."
decemberstigerlily - March 7, 2006 06:03 AM (GMT)
Chloe
Chloe had just recently left the Torch's office. She was on her way home when she spotted her cousin in The talon.
She walked in and took a seat across from Lois. "Hey," she siad with a slight smile,"What's up?"
rpgamer501 - March 7, 2006 01:54 PM (GMT)
Clark
Clark had just parked his truck down the street from the Talon at the feed store, picking up some bags of seed for his dad. Never one to turn down the opportunity, he decided to slip by the Talon and pick up a cup of coffee for himself on the road.
As he walked up, he saw some guy get tossed out, his head hitting the parking meter outside the coffee shop. Geeze, was there a fight??? He quickened his step, figuring it was time to get in the middle of it and stop what was happening. But to his surprise, he saw a girl standing there.
"Must have been something pretty bad..." he commented to her, looking at her handiwork collapsed on the pavement.
Jordana Dask - March 7, 2006 03:37 PM (GMT)
Rachel
Rachel shrugged and smiled at Clark. "Just some idiot who thought me easy game. He'll get a headache as a reminder otherwise." She looked at him more closely and recognized who he was from emails between her and Lana.
"Well well I finally meet Clark Kent in the flesh after years of hearing about you," she couldnt help but laugh a little. Lana was right when she said he was very handsome and single but Rachel knew that Clark had his eye on Lana. She didnt need her friend to tell her that in plain words but something about him intrigued her. There was something different but what was it? Her sense of smell told her that but it didnt make sense. Maybe it was all the coffee smells that were getting to her.
rpgamer501 - March 7, 2006 03:56 PM (GMT)
Clark
He looked a little bashful for a moment, finally sticking his hands in his pockets and walking to the door of the Talon, which he held open for her. "Yep, that's me... and you are???" he asked, looking the girl over. She was in communication with Lana, but hadn't really heard the brunette mention anything about a friend in town.
Jordana Dask - March 7, 2006 04:04 PM (GMT)
Rachel
"Rachel Leerson. Lived her when I was little but moved. Dad finally moved back here after convincing him for the past few months." She was partially telling the truth. Her father had needed convincing on where to move to that wasnt a large city. Rachel and Tyler, her brother had suggested Smallville then convinced him that it was a good place for Rachel to be more herself, sort of.
Rachel nodded her thanks and walked inside when Clark held the door open for her. Inwardly she chuckled at his shyness and found it quite cute.
rpgamer501 - March 7, 2006 05:11 PM (GMT)
Clark
"Cool..." Clark said, letting the door slip shut behind him. "Well, welcome back, I guess." He gave her a shrug. She was pretty, and the whole long locks of brunette hair reminded him more than a little of Lana. "Where are y'all living?" Ever since the 'girl next door' moved out, Clark had wondered who would eventually land in that house.
Lois Lane - March 7, 2006 05:26 PM (GMT)
Lois
"Hey Chlo!"
She turned around to see a brunette kick a guy out the Talon doors.
"Wow...did you see that? That girl can kick some SERIOUS butt!" Lois grinned.
Jordana Dask - March 7, 2006 05:47 PM (GMT)
Rachel
"Some big house thats next to a yellow one. It's very pretty. I didnt ask who it belonged to before but seems they werent gone long. Hardly any dust." Rachel didnt know she had moved into Lana's place, not that she had told her friend she was coming back. It was a surprise she intended to tell her friend later or rather show her she was right in the Talon.
Rachel turned to Lois and chuckled. "Hey he deserved it." She tucked a strand of highlighted brown hair behind her ear.
rpgamer501 - March 7, 2006 06:04 PM (GMT)
Clark
Getting his coffee in a 'to go' cup from the front counter, Clark stopped by the table where familiar faces congregated. "Hey..." he said to Chloe, with only a slight avoidance to Lois. "Didn't know we had a new crime-fighter in town," he commented, referring to Rachel. "I'm sure someone will want to interview you for an exclusive..." He cast a glance at his blonde friend.
Jordana Dask - March 7, 2006 06:08 PM (GMT)
Rachel
Rachel laughed and shook her head. "I'm no crime fighter I just dont like people taking advantage of others and that includes myself. He came after me after I said no so I took care of it," she shurgged.
Rachel realized that she had forgotten to introduce herself to the blonde girl and her sandy haired friend. "Rachel Leerson by the way. Just moved back here."
Lois Lane - March 8, 2006 10:30 PM (GMT)
Lois
Lois gave Rachel a hearty handshake.
"Hi, I'm Lois Lane, and this is my cousin, Chloe Sullivan," she added.
rpgamer501 - March 9, 2006 03:01 PM (GMT)
Clark
Clark leaned back against the counter for a moment, sipping from the plastic-topped cardboard cup. It was steaming hot, and anyone else would have burnt their lips on it. He swallowed it like it was cold.
"She mentioned something about moving in by a yellow farmhouse - that sounds pretty familiar to me..." he commented to Chloe and Lois. "I may have a new neighbor."
Jordana Dask - March 9, 2006 04:08 PM (GMT)
Rachel
"Nice to meet you two or three I should say," Rachel grinned. She looked at Clark. "So you're the next door neighbor huh? Guess you're stuck next to me. Sorry about that," she joked. "If you hear any yelling thats probably me and my brother getting yelled at for doing something."
Rachel and Tyler "Ty" always got a long most of the time unless one did something and blamed the other. They liked to rough house a lot and often crashed into something or when Ty would tease her when she talked on the phone or left her messenger windows open he'd make comments. That's when Rachel would either yell at him or chase him out of the room. Rachel loved the fact that her brother treated her like she was anyone else unlike her parents who constantly worried themselves over her with her being.....different.
Ty was her older brother by almost two years and was naturally protective of his "pipsqueak" sister whether she was different or not. He just didnt like people picking on her or teasing her besides himself or her friends. Ty always made that well known and was usually well respected. He had been Captain of the basketball team then got into football in the last two years. He had hated moving and voiced his opinion about it but when he found out Smallville had a football team he shut up and even encouraged it, a little. Rachel on the other hand couldnt wait to move back as much as she hated leaving her friends. She loved being in the open fields especially at night. Sure it would be quiet in Smallville but that left her more free in her mind. Rachel had heard of the strange things in Smallville but figured they were myths and stories people made up to pass the time. Wouldnt she be in shock to learn the truth, if she hung around Chloe enough that is she'd hear it all in no time.
"So what do you guys do for fun around here anyways?"
Lois Lane - March 10, 2006 12:57 AM (GMT)
Lois
"Nothing much." Lois laughed. "I left all the fun I used to have back in Metropolis. If I had my choice, I'd be there right now, but the General had other plans in mind." She sighed.
rpgamer501 - March 10, 2006 03:55 PM (GMT)
Clark
Rolling his eyes slightly, he looked from Lois to Rachel. "Actually, you're looking at the 'fun' in Smallville. We always hang out at the Talon, drinking coffee and talking constantly..." He pointedly looked at Lois, eyebrows bobbing in mock accusation with a grin.
"Once in a blue moon we'll have something serious to celebrate - say the local football team going to the championships or something. Then the whole town breaks down for a celebratory parade and all night party. Till' about 9 p.m., at least..." he added, smiling.
Jordana Dask - March 10, 2006 11:25 PM (GMT)
Rachel
Rachel laughed. "Wow sounds like major fun," she said with sarcasm. "So is Clark on the football team or we a side watcher?" Rachel had vaguely remembered that this town was all about the football team so it was a major event. She'd definitely have to go exploring around later and see what else there was.
Jessica - March 13, 2006 12:39 PM (GMT)
Lana
Trying to get past some guys, Lana finally made it over to Clark's table and spotted her friend Rachel and....
"Rachel, what are you doing here? And... Clark," she said, brushing the hair away from herface absenstly without her knowledge. She smiled, her eyes sparkling brightly.
Jessica - March 13, 2006 12:40 PM (GMT)
(Mark, check email, thanks.)
rpgamer501 - March 13, 2006 02:33 PM (GMT)
Clark
Attempting to hide some awkward moment, Clark looked down to his coffee before back up to the brunette. "Hey, Lana..." he said softly. There was always some strange tension there. Clark attibuted it to the pedestal he'd had her on since he was 5. Now that she'd actually talk to him, he didn't have a clue as to how to act around her. So, it usually resulted with him being a bumbling idiot most days.
Jessica - March 13, 2006 02:38 PM (GMT)
Lana
She smiled and took a seat.
"You don't mind if I sit for a second, do you? I've been on my feet all night and they are killing me and if I have to go back over there with those fumbling hands, I swear I'm going to deck those guys!"
Jordana Dask - March 13, 2006 07:43 PM (GMT)
Rachel
Rachel smiled. "Just moved back into town and thought I'd swing by. I'd be happy to deal with those idiots for you if you want." She couldnt help but smirk at the thought. In school she dealt with that stuff all the time and it was fun to deal with that stuff sometimes. Sometimes she'd get in a little trouble but it was worth it honestly.
rpgamer501 - March 14, 2006 05:49 PM (GMT)
Clark
Blue eyes narrowed at the offending crew, Clark Kent always though himself as a protector of sorts - those that were in need, those who couldn't protect themselves and such. But when it came to the fairer sex, Clark maintained that anything that was improper was just plain wrong. He wasn't prudish - well, maybe a little - but he thought women should be treated with a certain amount of respect.
Slipping away from the crew, Clark went over and leaned down close to the group of overly-stimulated teenagers. Not that he was surprised - there certainly was a preponderance of good looks among the women there. But that was no excuse.
A moment later, they got up and headed out of the Talon. Clark followed them out...
Jessica - March 14, 2006 05:59 PM (GMT)
Lana
(I'm going with Lana doesn't know about Clark yet...)
She smiled at Rachel, "Thanks but..." she stopped as she watched Clark get up and and then eventually leave Talon with the group.
"Clark, wait up, what are you doing?" she asked, suddenly worried. She bit her lower lip and got up and told the bartender she'd be right back. She left Talon behind the crowd to find Clark.
"Clark!"
rpgamer501 - March 14, 2006 06:09 PM (GMT)
Clark
Walking back out of the alley, Clark was dusting his hands off on each other as he noticed the brunette head out of the Talon. "Hey, Lana..." he gave her an innocent enough smile, heading back inside. "Boys... go figure..." He opened the door, hoping she'd take the hint to go back inside the Talon. "Had a little talk with them - they shouldn't be bothering you so much anymore."
Jessica - March 14, 2006 06:13 PM (GMT)
Lana
"I... what..." she frowned as they were all on the ground and he was ..... fine? "You are fine. But... are you okay? What happened? Clark, that was so... sweet of you," she said with a smile.
rpgamer501 - March 14, 2006 07:06 PM (GMT)
Clark
Shrugging it off, Clark gave Lana a bashful smile. "It really wasn't anything..." he commented as his eyes readjusted to the dimmer lights inside the Talon. "Hormone driven boys tend to act out far more than they should." He went back over to the table where the girls were sitting, picking up his coffee again.
"So what are you girls up to tonight?" he asked the group.
Lois Lane - March 14, 2006 11:10 PM (GMT)
Lois "Nothing much..." She sighed out of frustration. "How about you? You got any plans for tonight, Smallville?" Lois asked.
She really hated being there, but there wasn't much she could do. Until she was able to afford a car, trips to Metropolis would be very scarce if any.
Jordana Dask - March 15, 2006 02:50 AM (GMT)
Rachel
Rachel shrugged, noticing people on the ground which made her smile. "Got nothing. Homeworks all done, did my part of the chores not that theres much to do with everything being unpacked." She could go home and do that and then go out in the woods for a tour but she wanted to make new friends. This bunch seemed like a good start to go with.
Katie04 - March 21, 2006 01:43 AM (GMT)
Chloe had been day-dreaming about being the head reporter at The Daily Planet in Metropolis, and comeing home to Clark Kent as her husband. It was such a good day-dream she could tell the smile was still on her lips. When she was snapped out of it, by movement. She looked up and saw Clark walking out of The Talon, Oh well, Clark goes to save the day again, for Lana. I guess he will never notice me now. She had a slight frown at this point.
rpgamer501 - March 21, 2006 06:02 PM (GMT)
Clark
Clark leaned against the counter, sipping his coffee as he looked between them. The guys in Smallville weren't idiots; they were good looking women. But Clark was different, he knew very well. He couldn't exactly go around grabbing whomever's tush - one, it was rude, and two, it could lead to something more. And he couldn't give something more, as Lana could attest to.
He looked over at the raven-haired beauty he'd had feelings for since kindergarten. He sighed softly as he heard the end of James Blunt's song playing over the Talon's speakers...
but it's time to face the truth... I will never be with you...
"I'd better get going," he finally said. "I'll see you guys later - I hear there's an old horror movie feature playing at the Talon later..." he dropped a hint, since those were his favorite movies. "See ya!"
He headed out of the Talon, practically bumping into another resident researcher into the strange.
"Hey, Chloe..." he brightened some. "What's up?"
Katie04 - March 24, 2006 01:24 AM (GMT)
Chloe was just settling down again into her computer screen after the initial shock of seeing Clark rescue Lana...again. I wish he would notice that I am here too. She realized she was never going to get her work done here, it was too noisy. So she got up and started packing her things, when she was bumped into by someone, she looked up and saw it was Clark. She flashed her dazzling smile, "Oh, hi Clark. How are you today? Doing good I see." Nodding over to the table where Lana was at.
rpgamer501 - March 24, 2006 09:00 PM (GMT)
Clark
Clark's eyes went back over to Lana and the others. "Oh, Lana?" His face showed some obvious let-down, giving Chloe a look and shrug of his shoulders. "I guess it's time to just not worry about things so much, you know?" He slid onto the chair across from her. "Too often I've been left hanging over something, and there are just some... secrets you keep. Lana's just... kind of unreachable." Worried this may get to Chloe, Clark got quiet for a moment, not wanting to hurt her feelings.
"Doing some homework?" he asked.
Katie04 - March 25, 2006 12:49 AM (GMT)
Chloe listened intently to Clark talking, he sounded kind of let down. I guess he is finally realizing how distant Lana really is from him. She looked at Clark, "Try being the operative word here, its too loud I cant get anything done. Would you like to go to The Torch with me?" She continued to pack up her things.
rpgamer501 - March 27, 2006 06:17 PM (GMT)
Clark
He cast one last look back towards the table with the other ladies and looked back to Chloe, somewhat sad. "I'd like to, but I have some supplies I need to get out to the farm. Maybe I'll catch up with you later?" he asked her. Every once in a blue moon, Clark started to wonder about Chloe. Her fascination with anything 'weird' had proved her to be tough and accepting of that which was different.
Could that include Clark?
Jessica - March 27, 2006 07:04 PM (GMT)
Lana
Lana noticed that Clark had left his jacket behind and picked it up, over to him.
"Clark, wait!" she yelled, stopping shortly as she spotted him with Chloe. She didn't want to interupt, she knew they were friends and all but ....
"You forgot your jacket...." she said, trailing off.
Katie04 - March 28, 2006 03:52 AM (GMT)
Chloe listened to Clark as she continued to pack her stuff up, he said he couldnt come with her. "Don't worry about it, Clark. I understand." Just then she saw Lana walking towards them, she was carrying Clark's jacket. Chloe's eyes started to water, so she turned away and got the last of her things packed in her bag. She thought to herself, I wonder if he does that on purpose, as just another excuse to cut me out of his life, and get to Lana.
