Princess Nefertiti

A blade sliced her arm and droplets of blood flowed from her open vein onto the marble floor. A sea of people watched, peered for her reaction to this marvel. Would she cower before the great Meela Nais or shame her father and his future bride with her pride. She swallwed and took a step back. She bent till she was on her right knee, her eyes flaming but her lips silent. She may have given up this battle but the war had not yet been won.

Evie

"Rick!" she called out, looking at her arm, now bloody from her dream.

Anna

Sitting in the library of the mansion, glasses perched on her nose, Anna was deep into the dusty text of an Egyptian tome. It was about midafternoon, but Anna had no idea of the time as she had been buried in the past since late the night before. She knew the O'Connells had come home, but she decided to let them rest and have some time to themselves before going to greet them, hence her current position in the library.

As Evie's call rang out, Anna's head shot up, glasses sliding off her face. "Damn damn damn," she said, searching for them on the floor. She only needed them to read, but as she read most of the time, they were a bit necessary. Finally finding them under the table, she quickly got up and ran out the door, thrusting them into her skirt pocket. "Evie?" she called out, still a bit uncomfortable calling her employer by her first name, much less a nickname.

When there was no automatic response, Anna decided to head for the little sitting room off the front hall; there was a spacious couch there, and certain members of the family often took afternoon naps there. She lightly knocked on the ornate door, but pushed it open at the same time, and saw Evie sitting up on the sofa, brilliant red blood dripping down her arm in stark contrast with her pale face. Yanking out her ever-present handkerchief, Anna ran across the room and pressed it to the wound. "Are you alright?" she asked, a bit naueseated from the sight of blood. "What happened?"

Ardeth Bay

Ardeth watched from the safety of the shadows as something horrid came about. He kept tugging on the shawl to make sure no one saw him. He was at Hamunaptra watching the digging. He wanted to make sure the creature was never found. He moved into the shadows more as a man came near. He was afraid if he was to be seen, he wouldn't be able to take them all on, or warn the O'Connell's of the mummy's return. He quickly moved into the crowd of men to blend in and get closer to the creature's resting place.

Jonathan

Jonathan was sitting at a table with two beautiful women. He motioned for the waitress to come near.

"We would like the best wine you have, please."

The waitress left in a hurry.

Jonathan turned back to the women.

"Where was I?" Jonathan asked. "Oh, right. So, there I was face-to-face with the mummy. He growled at me and I growled back. I never flinched!"

"Oh, Jon, you're so brave," Amanda said.

"You think so?" Jonathan asked. "Well, that was nothing. He came at me. I was a number one boxer back in my day at the Univerity. So, I threw a left hook, and a right. I took him down hard."

"Oh, my," Jules said.

"Hey, you! That's my wife!" A burly man cried out.

"Oh, really?" Jonathan asked frightened.

"Get him, Jon," amanda said.

"Right," Jonathan stood up to face the man. "You know, she never told me she was married."

"It doesn't matter," the man said. "I'm going to teach you a lesson, toothpick!"

"Well," Jonathan tried to stall but the man reared back his hand. "Look! It's the Queen of England!" Jonathan screamed like a girl and pointed.

The man looked behind him seeing nothing o no one.

Jonathan ducked around him as he turned back and ran out. Jules followed behind him.

"Hey, I thought you said you were some kind of monster killer," she said as she followed him down the street to his car.

"I never said that. I just put up a fight to save my sister and my American brother-in-law," he lied, which he was good at. "Can I drive you home?"

"What about your house?" Jules asked.

"Well, it's really a mansion," he said. Though it was his brother-in-laws.

"Ooh, can I come over?"

"Well, all right," Jonathan smiled and got into his car.

Jonathan tried to start the car after they got in. He laughed.

"This always happens," he told her. "I was trying to start the car when the mummy came at me again. Lucky for him, I went easy on him."

The large man banged on the window of the car making Jonathan scream like a girl once more. He finally started the car and took off. He looked into the rear view mirror while trying to catch his breath.

"He's lucky the car started," Jonathan said.

Meela

Meela stood in the shadows of a large statue her dark eyes glittered as she watched the unwitting explorers digging in the dirt.

She smiled to herself, the smile of a predatory animal. "Soon my love," she thought. "Soon."

Alex

Alex awoke by his mother's screaming. "MOM!" he yelled. He quickly got up and ran down the corridor to his parent's room. He knocked on the door frantically. He said to the door, "Mother? Are you okay?" He was standing there in his pajamas. They had dark green and red plaid stripes and there was a button down shirt and a pair of pants. "Dad? Dad are you in there?" Why can't someone answer me? He thought as he went for the door knob.

Rick


Rick had been in the restroom when Evie called for him. Rick finished as fast as he could her voice sounded paniced he washed his hands then rushed from the room. what could be happening now. He dashed past his son Alex whom had been standing at the door to their room. He knew he had heared his mothers screams and had been worried but she wasnt in their room he had left her in the sitting room. "The siting room Alex" he said over his shoulder as he past.

Rick entered the sitting room a little breathless his eyes moved to his wife then to Anna whom held a bloody handkerchief to Evies arm. "Evie! what happened" he rushed over and kneeled down beside him and Anna.

Evie

Her eyes were glazed over. "I saw me, as Nefertiti again, Rick.... and this time I saw the other one... We fought and she cut me... We hated each other, I could see it. I looked, regal, like a princess, Rick..." She looked at her husband, "What's happening to me, Rick?"

Alex
Alex quickly followed his father into the siting room. His mother was siting there with a bloody rag on her arm. He stood there and listen to his mother tell his father what happened. Oh my god. Maybe I should go look up some things in my books about Nefertiti and her past life. Alex thought to himself.

He quickly ran out the room into his bedroom where he kept a stash of interesting books, Nefertiti being on of them. He knew every book in there. He found the book on Nefertiti with speed and brought it back to his parents in the siting room. "Here. This might help." Alex said holding the book to them.

Rick

Rick ran a hand down Evie's cheek "I dont know Evie I would say they where dreams but I have never heard of someone dreaming of being the same person over and over again." Rick was about to tell his son not now when he noted the title on the cover of the book. He didnt know how it could help but maybe it could give them information about why she was haveing these dreams. Rick took the book from Alex. "I think our son is right perhaps we can get a better feeling for why you are haveing these dreams by looking through this."

Ardeth Bay

Ardeth Bay began to fear the inevitable was upon them. He knew this woman knew things she couldn't possibly know. She found Imhotep quicker than he anticipated. He did all he could to slow things. He spread rumors of curses, which sent many workes away. Then he even tried sabotage, but none worked well enough. Then finally he saw it, the creature.

She's found him! I must warn the O'Connells!

He moved back into the shadows and vanished. He had to act fast and make his way to the mansion.

Jonathan

Jonathan pulled into the driveway and parked his car. He looked at Jules and smiled.

"Well, here we are!" He said.

"Wow! it's so big!" She smiled.

"Well, thanks, i was born with. . . OH! The mansion. Yes, well, it's not really. . . Would you like to come in?"

"Oh, I think so," she said in a sensual voice.

"Well, you dont' have to tell me twice!" He grabbed his septre and moved out of the car. He walked around and opened her car door.

She placed her arm in his as they walked up to the door. "So, this is the famous septre?"

"Yes," Jonathan said as he unlocked the door and moved in. "I was able to wrestle this from mummy and kill him before he was able to destroy the world. I was victorious in that battle."

"Oh, you're so brave!"

"It was nothing, really." He told her.

They moved around the corner into the den.

Meren/Jana

Meren stood beside his teacher, his face held a femininity that was uncharacteristic of a Medji but he fought as well as any trainee.

"What will we do sir?" she asked of Ardeth careful as always to keep her voice gruff and to imiatate the clouching roll of male trainees.

Meela

"Bring him" Neela snapped at the workers, as the wizen corpse was risen from the sand.

It looked like a lump of precious amber, that held some extoic insect and Meela poured all over it, stroking the imprisoned face of her long lost love.

Alex

As his father was taking the book Alex had a smug smile on his face. He took a chair and placed it next to his mother and father. They all started to look through the book. Alex heard the front door slam, "Uncle Jonathan is home. I'll go bother him for a little while." Alex got up from his chair and moved it back to where it was before. Just as he was leaving the room he told his mother, "Be careful when you sleep, mother. See ya later, dad."

He quietly crept down the hallway. He heard more than one voice. I guess Uncle has a friend over tonight. Too bad. Alex figured out that they were in the den. He crept down the stairs and hid between two bookcases, waiting for Jonathan to pass him. Just as Jonathan and this woman were passing Alex he jumped on top of his uncle and screamed. The woman threw her hands up and ran shrieking.

The fires burnt low on their stands as Neelas stood before the high alter.

The book of the dead open in front of her, the workers bowing before the still form of Imhotep.

She riased her hands Ahm kum Ra. Ahm kum Dei, Su ah a hara suck tubé ip sa is ibet bia. Sin ma ha, sip sú é. Ya tu eih Ya tu eih, Ya tu eih!


An unearthly shrieking filled the room, and Neelas hair whipped about her face. The workers let out cries of fear but that same fear held them in place around the alter.

Neela lifted a dagger from the alter, and turned to the unfortunate man tied up. "By your death my love shall live" she said and brought the glinting blade down.
