Name: Rosalind Schuster (nickname: Rose)
Age: 17
Looks: She stands about 5 ft 6 and has long, dark hair and blue eyes

Siblings: Kevin(24)
Major, Minor, Props?: seamstress/costumer, minor
Prior Drama Experience: She has played minor children’s roles in her community theatre such as a royal child in The King and I and an orphan in ‘Annie’. She played one major role and that was Mary Lennox in The Secret Garden. In high school, she belonged to the drama group but took minor roles in various plays and musicals so that she could devote most of her time to making costumes
Personality: She is very outgoing and friendly with people. Once you get to know her, she can be a very loyal and trusted friend. Her friends have said that with her looks she belongs more on the stage then in back of it doing costumes but she doesn’t care. In her mind, the costumes on the stage are even more important than the people playing them. She feels that she can express herself more through her costumes than through acting or singing. As far as boyfriends go? Well, she has had some dates and such but nothing real serious. She doesn’t want a serious relationship that will tie her down from doing what she really wants. She also doesn’t wish to have someone possessive of her and is quite honest on that when it comes to guys interested in her. She does enjoy watching all aspects of the performing arts though and sometimes takes mental notes when it comes to costumes
History: Rosalind was born and raised in historical Pennsylvania. She was introduced to theatre when on a fluke her mother had her audition for a local production of The King and I as one of the royal children. She surprisngly enjoyed the production and went on to play an orphan in ‘Annie’. Her singing voice as a child was not that strong but strong enough to be in children’s chorus. Then when she was still in elementary school, her parents got her a vocal and drama coach and she landed the role of Mary Lennox in ‘The Secret Garden’. Even though her singing and acting were very good, Rosalind didn’t completely feel that the stage was where she belonged. Then, her mother taught her how to sew and she began to make costumes for various plays that she and her friends put on. It was when Rosalind saw her costumes on display for the neighborhood to see that she truly felt her calling.
In high school, she continued to take sewing lessons and assisted to create costumes for various plays and musicals. She did the same in her community theatre as well as taking minor roles to let her know that the money her parents spent on acting and singing didn’t go to waste. But she truly felt that her costumes were the best way to express her true talent. Her parents agreed to let her apply to Over the Rainbow Dramatic Academy to improve her skills even more. With her background in theatre, she was able to pass through the acting and singing part but knows that it is her resume for costumes that truly sets her apart. She hopes by attending the academy she can learn more about making costumes as well as learning about other production aspects as well.
