Title: Xena - Queen Of The Amazons

Jessica - March 13, 2006 06:20 AM (GMT)
Gabrielle had decided to keep her position as Queen of all the Amazons and so Xena left with Joxer to travel until she heard from a village as she was travelling that the Amazons and Centaurs were going to war. So she decided to head back. Sure enough, Gabrielle had the two neighboring nations and her own readying the troops, practing and more for the battles to come.

She had also had to kill three fellow Amazons in fights to the death to keep her throne recently. She didn't want to have to kill anyone else. So much had changed since Xena had left her. Before, she had never killed, Xena had no idea that blood now stained Gabrielle's once innocent hands.

Cyane

Cyane was making sure her amazons were practicing hard and not slacking off as she walked around them as they fought hand in hand. She stopped them every so often to help or join in to show them the proper way to do what they were doing. She had no problem with any of her amazons they did not dare try and fight her for the throne knowing they would loose.

Arianna

Arianna Trianed and seemed to notice that all her oponents were easily beatened. It could because she was half god and she had advantages in her fights. She was glad to be with her queen gabrielle who had no problem with her special powers. It would come in handy in the battle to come. She headed off to find gabrielle....

Varia

Varia was training some of the units. She pushed them harder than she normally would because of the war that was coming. She used their disgust for the four legged creatures to full their training and become great. Varia had fought some centaurs before and knew some of their tactics which included speed. The trick was hitting them in the weakest area; their legs which may be fast amd strong but they were also weak if you hit them in the right spot; the shoulder and the knee.

Varia took a staff and attacked one of the warriors quickly and caught her off guard. "Faster next time but getting much better. Always guard yourself against blows from above or they'll kill you before you can do much. Remember that!" She yelled loudly to everyone.

Xena

Xena always wondering what could have been with gabrielle went back to rekindle
their friend ship aswell as help the amazons as much as she could. This would be hard to do especially when being torn by two groups she once in her life sworn to protect. She was happy to see gabrielle again and couldn't wait to get there but she wouldn't worry until the situation called for it.

Gabrielle's village was almost less than a day and xena was having the time of her life with joxer. She didn't think that a whole year had already gone by and she didn't kill him yet. Even though xena's adventures had been a little dull lately she was thinking that a war between two groups she loved would help liven things up for a bit.

Being a queen of the amazons was one that required knowledge and strength. She wanted to test that theory on gabrielle when she finallly got a chance to watch her in action. Maybe have a little duel.

Amarice

Amarice love fighting even thought that some of the other amazons were better than her once and a while she got to train with the queen Gabrielle. She thought that once Xena got to the village then she could be able to fight who ever she wanted and win. So far she could use a staf and do front flips. But she thought if she wanted to win this war against four leged men she would need more training.

Sundara

Sundara was sparring with someone that acutally didnt mind what she was and it made her happy. She didnt like the fact that they were going to war with her own people and she wondered why they were going to fight them. Was it because they were different or because they did something wrong? She didnt really ask but did think about it a lot

Old One Eye - March 14, 2006 04:41 AM (GMT)
Ares

Ares was walking around the Amazon village, invisible to the mortal women, watching the preparations for war with the centaurs with relish. Nothing excited him more than watching a good fight, unless it was a good fight for no real good reason besides his entertainment. Maybe he would appear in Gabrielles' throne room and see if he could cut a deal with her, give her a little advantage in the coming war in exchange for cutting him in on the bloodshed.

Maybe, he wondered, maybe the time had come to offer her a partnership in exchange for immortality. She's come a long way from being a humble little bard from Potadeia. Anyone who can become an unchallenged war queen of the Amazons deserves a little respect even from the god of war.

Callisto

Callisto wondered what it would be like to fight under Gabrielle. The little red-haired brat had always seemed like such a pacifist. However, after watching her kill three fellow Amazons to defend her throne, Callisto knew that Gabrielle had changed.

Word traveled that Xena was on her way to help her friend. Callisto despised Xena for what she had done to her family. But that would have to be put aside. Xena was there to help the Amazons and Calliston herself was an Amazon. Therefore, Xena was on her side...for now.

Discord

Discord followed Ares for the hell of it. "Here to bother the precious Gabrielle?" She smirked, taunting him. She had helped him stir up trouble with the Amazons and Centuars, long time rivals. She enjoyed meddling in the lives of mortals and creating some havoc. She was afterall a goddess of trouble and war was she not?

"Deciding which side you want to win or you going to help these Amazons the whole time?"

Joxer

Joxer had a scroll out writting on it. He had been writing their adventures since they left. He even had into a song, which he had always loved to do.

"Hey, Xena, what do you think of this for a title? The Tales of Joxer the Mighty and his sidekick Xena the Warrior Princess?" He began writing it down.

Jordana Dask - March 17, 2006 08:26 PM (GMT)
Sundara

Sundara went to the archery area which was an expertise she had developed at a young age. She corrected a few positions which gave them all better aim. She heard a few whispers about her with her sensitive hearing and turned, glaring at the women who were a little older than her but not much.

"Is there a problem?" Sundara asked coldly. She inwardly smiled when they quickly shook their heads. Normally she would have ignored it but she was getting tired of the whispers and snickering. If they had a problem with what she was they should out right tell her.

TheEldest - March 17, 2006 11:36 PM (GMT)
"Well joxer I think a title of out stories should be me fighting to get you out of your jams. But hey were both on the same team aren't we?" Xena joked around. Joxer always had an amusing personality that xena liked. He made her laugh when he would talk about him self as a warrior. She knew that in the heart he was but not on the outside.

Xena went to go talk to Sundara since she had been half centaur she was woundering if she had some one on her side about stoping this war. "Hey there hows it going? I need to talk to you so can we go some where private?"

Old One Eye - March 17, 2006 11:58 PM (GMT)
Ares

Ares turned around to face Discord. "You know, I hadn't really decided yet. Maybe we could make a little side bet on the outcome. Each of us pick a side and see what happens. Best god wins?" He said all this with a smirk of superiority on his face. What did this two dinar minor goddess think she was doing, following him here and daring to question him on his own turf, the battlefield?

Ares turned his back on the petite brunette goddess, and started to watch the archery practice. So Sundara was a half centaur? How does that happen? Then he caught himself and realized just how. :o "That must have been one really lonely man" the god of war thought to himself.

Jordana Dask - March 18, 2006 11:20 AM (GMT)
Discord

Discord snorted at her Uncle's tone. "And who would you place your bet on?" She was going for the Amazons but would not underestimate the half horse beasts.

Sundara

Sundara hit the bulls eye and turned to Xena. "Here to ask what the hell I'm doing here?" She asked with a touch of anger which she had not meant. She was still a little angry from earlier so it was not directed at Xena. "Like everyone else?" Her long white tail thrashed from side to side in annoyance as she hit her target again.

SMGAdmirer - March 20, 2006 04:53 AM (GMT)
Callisto

Callisto came upon Sundara practicing her archery. She noticed that her arrows were hitting the bullseye. Being the competitive person that she was, she walked over to Sundara.

Picking up a bow, she aimed the arrow, closed her eyes, and let it fly. It sailed through the air making an almost whistling sound. When it got to the bullseye, it shredded through Sundara's arrow and hit the center mark.

Callisto smirked. "I guess that's why they call you the half-breed." Sundara continued shooting, completely ignoring her.

Callisto, angered by being ignored, fired another arrow. This time, her arrow caught up with Sundara's halfway to the target. It knocked Sundara's arrow out of the way and continued sailing for the target. When it hit, the center of the bullseye exploded in a shower of wooden shards.

Despite her obvious attempts, Sundara still ignored Callisto. She turned and looked at the half centaur. "How about a little archery contest? Just a small challenge. Nothing at stake. Just for the pride of the Amazons. What do you say?"

ooc: are we ignoring the rpg we did????

Arianna walked around wondering who the woman was who had came to their villiage. For some reason she was familier to her,She went to be alone to do some thinking before she trained again. She didnt know why she really had to train she was much better then the girls she had been fighting with. She needed some one new to fight with. She looked around then got up and looked at a log before she decided to practice her special gift she always had since she could remember. She formed a fire ball and threw it at the log, doing some damage not much however

Autolycus

Autolycus moved across the roof of a palace, which he was sneaking into. He slowly snuck in through the window by repelling down using one of his grappling hooks. His green tunic flapped as he slid in. He slowly moved across the floor making sure he didn't make a noise. He turned back to look behind him. He moved out of the room and into a large hall. He stopped at the door he was told the diamond was in.

He twisted his moustache as he looked at the door. He pulled a device, which had a drill he could screw into the lock. He worked it and finally broke in. He saw the diamond, but it was guarded. He could see the anti-theft device that blocked his path. He moved around it as the guardsslept. He was able to grab the diamond and head out. Two guards stood in front of him.

"Hey there fellas! I'm from Autolycus Alarm - Protection withoutm easure for all kinds of treasure. You failed our test and I say you need to get it all fixed. Of course, I don't work cheap."

They looked at each other. Then grabbed for him.

Autolycus ducked through them and bashed their heads together.

"Well," he said. "Two heads are better than one!"

He went back to the door, thinking it was the one he snuck through. He looked behind him to see if anyone was following him. He fell over onto a bed. A few women screamed, waking up the rest of the daughers of the King in the process. They swarmed him.

"Hello ladies," he said in a dashing voice.

"My, my, that's a very large jewel," one said.

"Well, nothing is as big as mine," he said. "I know what you want from me, girls. Frankly, I don't blame you."

"Well, give us back the diamond, then we can talk."

"No, darlin'. Afraid I can't do that. This is all business, no pleasure. . . unfortunately. I mean, come on. I could take you all on one by one. Or in any other combination."

"So, is that your offer, Autolycus?"

"Guess my reputation and fame stretch far and wide," he murmured to himself.

"Are you firm with that?" One asked.

"Well, I don't know. I haven't seen your bottom line," he flirted.

Guards broke in chasing after him.

"Well, that's my cue to make like Zeus and bolt!" He jumped up from the bed of flocking women. He threw his grappling hook up to the roof and began to climb out.

It didn't take him long to find his way out. He had found a room full of women's clothes and put them on. He snuck out of the palace and into the world. He quickly discarded his dress.

He made his way to a local bar where he went up to the barkeeper.

"Say, barkeep, choose the one drink you wouldn't give your worst enemy...and give me a double." Autolycus said.

"Rough day?"

"Let's just say I was a little too dressed up." He threw down his drinks overhearing tow men in the background.

"Yeah, the Amazons are going to war," one said.

"I think they're leaving something of extreme value in their temple unprotected. Any old thief could come along and steal it."

"Not such a bad idea," he said.

Autolycus smiled a little. "Hm. Something of value. Sounds interesting." He slowly snuck out of the bar and found a horse. He jumped on it and rode off.

Sundara

Sundara didnt rise to the bait and could care less that Callisto was trying to prove herself, hell Sundara had not even been trying really hard to hit the targets.

"Sorry I dont do competitions just to make myself feel better because I dont have insecurities like that. I have better things to do with my time than try to be better than everyone when we are all on the same side or so its said. Amazon pride is to be taken as who we are not by what we are capable of," she retorted to Callisto cooly and turned her back to the blonde woman towards Xena. She didnt mind being half and half she just hated people talking behind her backs and seeing her as the enemy when she wasnt. She hated this war but knew she couldnt change it.

SMGAdmirer - March 21, 2006 02:54 AM (GMT)
Callisto

She shrugged. "Very well then. I wasn't trying to be rude about it. Just wanted to have a little bit of fun." She turned and walked from the archery range. She wanted to talk to Gabrielle to find out what her strategy was for the war. She knew that in the past, Gabrielle had been a peace-loving person, rarely ever violent. However, in the past few weeks, she had seen her kill two other Amazons to keep her position. Callisto respected her for that.

She waved to the two women and hopped on her horse. When she came to the Amazon camp, she noticed a lot of people had come to aid in their fight against the centaurs. She saw Gabrielle in the middle of all of them.

Nonchalantly, she strode up to Gabrielle. "I was wondering if I might have a quick word with you," she said, in a whisper. Then bowing her head she added, "My queen."

Jordana Dask - March 21, 2006 03:06 AM (GMT)
Sundara

Sundara snorted in contempt. She hated being called half breed, finding it an insult.

"Next time you want a friendly competition watch your mouth and whom you call a half breed." That was why she had not accepted Callisto's challenge, seeing the woman as the arrogant sort that had to prove herself worth of anything. She was a good fighter she didnt doubt that just her self confidence. Callisto may seem fine but Sundara truly wondered what went on in that head of hers.

Xena

"I see that you can hold your own around here. I wanted to talk to you about the war. My friend Gabrielle has let this job go to her head and i don't like it. I think that we can avoid another war but I'm going to need some help. Are you in?" Xena knew it was a streach but this girl seemed like the best way to go, especially since she was a centaur with an amazon queen for a mother. Xena waited for a response. She suddenly turned around and saw a tree. She knew some one was listening to their convorsation she just didn't know who.

Amarice

Amarice always felt intimidated when others started training with such intensity. She would hide in a tree and come down when she wanted. She saw every thing from there. She heard every thing also. She was Callisto talking to gabrielle. Then to her surprise heard Xena's plan to stop the war. One thing she couldn't see was Arianna. for some reason she was always out of sight. She climbed down a tree and picked up a fighting stick to go train with the others.

Jessica - March 21, 2006 04:04 AM (GMT)
Gabrielle

Gabrielle turned to see Callisto at her side. She nodded to the ranks of Amazons, "Continue, I will be back and then we will begin with the next lesson," she said as she moved away from the group of girls.

She headed for the Queens Hut. Opening the flap, she walked inside and waited for the Amazon to follow her in.

SMGAdmirer - March 21, 2006 02:51 PM (GMT)
Callisto

Callisto followed Gabrielle inside the hut. "My queen, I did not mean to disturb you. I only wanted to discuss with you your strategy for this war." She looked up at Gabrielle. She couldn't tell what the girl was thinking. Her face was blank as she searched for an answer to the question.

Not receiving an immediate answer, Callisto continued. "Do you think it wise, my queen, to have a centaur fighting with us? I feel that this might endanger our chances of a victory for the Amazons. How do we know that she's not a spy for the centaurs? She could be playing both sides."

Callisto knew that she had overstepped her bounds. She anxiously and nervously awaited Gabrielle's response.

Old One Eye - March 21, 2006 03:18 PM (GMT)
Ares

"Who cares who wins? If there's a war, then I win big. Besides, sweetie, I never bet on a game before I see the starting lineup. And since Xena's here, the odds can shift from one side to the other before you can blink. But, just for practice, I guess we could talk terms. What kind of stakes are we thinking of? I mean if it's just for love slaves, I can always ask my sister for those. I'm sure Aphrodite has a few spares tucked away for a rainy day."

Ares then walked away from Discord and into the queen's hut, following Gabrielle, Callisto, and the others. It was sometimes one of the biggest advantages he found as a god, the ability to see and hear what was going on without everyone around knowing he was there.

Sundara

Sundara thought about it. She didnt want a war but did not want to defy her mother or Gabrielle whether or not it was right. If she had a chance to stop it she had to take it but what would be the consequences if she did? She'd surely be dead or exiled, probably the former, but if she didnt she could loose everything in this war.

The young centaur weighed these things in her mind and sighed. She saw Xena look at a tree and thought she saw something out of place. She didnt like spies. Glowering, she waited until they had left then gave Xena her answer.

"I'm in I suppose," Sundara muttered, shifting her weight in anxiety.

Discord

"Slaves no, not on my mind. Why? You got something in mind?" Discord asked. "If you do I'll hear it out if not I think I'll go see what some of these mortals are up to," with a shrug she decided to watch a few of them fight or talk. She loved hearing and not being seen. Now what trouble could she cause?

Fyanna

Fyanna had taken a look around her seroundings. The museum she was in was nowhere in sight. She began to walk straight ahead, this is as good as any direction to take Fyanna thought to herself.

She entered some woods after an hour of walking. Looking at the trees she could tell that something was here at one point, there was markings on the trees that looked man made.

Autolycus

Autolycus was en route to find the amazons. He decided to stay the night in the woods. He slept soundly, until he began to hear footsteps. He woke up suddenly, and found a woman.

"Well, what brings you here baby? Come to see the fascinating King of Thieves?"

"You really think you're fascinating?" she asked.

"All men think that. For me, it's justified."

"Well, my father's guards are coming for you," she said.

"Oh, Princess, I laugh in the face of danger."

"Well, now is your chance," she told him.

Autolycus stood and saw some guards. "Hello, fellas! Are you looking for Autolycus? The proclaimed King of thieves? Well, he went that way."

"No, he didn't." The guard said.

"Well, aren't you in denial. You are aware that denial isn't just a river in Egypt, right?"

He grabbed at Autolycus, who jumped back.

"Too slow, old man," Autolycus told him. Then he punched the guy knocking him out. He looked to the other guards who began to near him. He used his grappling hook to lasso a tree. Then he swung into the guards knocking them down.

"Wow!"

"Never underestimate great talent! Especially mine!" He looked at the guards. "Well, that's my cue." He stole a quick kiss and swung off into the forrest.

"Oh, Autolycus, you're so daring," she whispered into the night.

Fyanna

As Fyanna headed deeper into the forest, she heard what sounded like voices then followed by faint sounds of fighting. She looked from where the sound was comming from, but found nothing. She went closer for a look, tried to see where the trees were blocking. She didn't see anything except for what looked like a man in green running her way.

Arianna

Arianna stayed around the area she was using as target practice for a while. She then started off back for the villiage and noticed a male figure head inside queen gabrielles' hut and shook her head thinking she was seeing things. *arianna you are loosing your mind* she told herself.

Cyane

Cyane walked around the villiage more making sure everything was going to according to plan. Her amazons were training hard and doing fairly well. She wished her daughter would practice more she sure did need it. Thinking back to the time where she was inlove with a centaur and shook her head. She did love him but was not that in love with him and sure didnt exspect to have a child... she would never have another centaur child ever it was the most painful of all pregnancies and wouldnt wish it on anyone though she did have a great kid because of it.

Sundara

"If you need me just come find me," Sundara said quietly to Xena and walked off, away from everyone else. She went where no one could see her and sighed. She liked being alone and made her feel at ease and not all tense.

Taking out her sword she began to spar with the air, imagining an opponent. This gave her time to always think about things and there was always one thing that nagged her the most. She never asked Cyane about it or her father, Arlen, but she always wondered if they had loved one another or was she a mistake? She didnt want it to bug her but it did. Sundara knew of being forced to do things and noticed sometimes that Cyane looked at her with...was it an embarassed look or what? But she did notice it when Cyane thought she wasnt looking. It hurt her greatly but acted like she knew nothing. More than once the thought of going to the centaurs had crossed her mind.

Varia

Varia gave her group a fifteen minute break and practiced a shadow partner. More than once she had been challenged by others and they lost pretty badly. The second time the girl had thought better and stopped before she made a huge commotion about it. Varia always anticipated someone who thought they could beat and out wit her in a fight. She had not earned the part of Queen by simply waltzing up to the throne. She had worked hard to earn the position and would not go down easily.

Autolycus flipped over a log that leaned against a tree. Then dodged a small pit. He slightly turned to see if anything or anyone was following him.

"Autolycus, ol' pal, you did it." He said slowing down. "You lost 'em." He began to laugh to himself over his evasion manuevers. Then he slowly turned around and tripped over a root and fell onto a woman he'd never seen before.

"Oh, sorry," he told her as he lay on top of her looking down at her. "I seemed to have stumbled into something awefully pretty." He flirted with her. "My name's Autolycus. Maybe you've heard of me!"

TheEldest - March 26, 2006 05:01 PM (GMT)
Xena

Xena was glad that she found some help but a simple amozon wouldn't be able to stop a war. She needed a queen on her side. There were two others besides Gabrielle, Cyane and Varia. They were both loyal to their queen, as any amozon is, she was hoping that since she had helped the amazons before she could ask for a favor. She couldn’t decide whether to ask for help first, Cyane had a romantic past with the centaurs, and Varia well she was young and still naïve. Xena went after the young one first. Making her way toward Varia she still sensed a presence up in that tree.

Amarice

Amarice heard it all, she couldn’t believe Xena Warrior Princess was turning her back on her and her sisters. She wouldn’t stand for this, she jumped out of the tree and went immediately toward Queen Gabrielle’s hut. She told the guards she had interesting news and then walked in to find Callisto and Gabrielle.

“Queen I have word about Xena and her betrayal to the amazons. She plans to stop this war and to turn your tribe against you. She already got to the Sundara, that little half centaur we let in this tribe.”

Jordana Dask - March 27, 2006 02:09 AM (GMT)
Varia

Varia heard footsteps and turned to see Xena there. She narrowed her eyes and furrowed her eyebrows. Xena seemed determine about something so she had a purpose.

Sundara

Sundara took a walk away from the village just to go somewhere. No destination in mind.

Old One Eye - March 27, 2006 06:54 AM (GMT)
Ares

Ares listened to Amarice describe how Xena planned to stop the war between the Amazons and the centaur tribe, but wasn't surprised in the least. "Well Queen Gabrielle, are you surprised to hear your friend betraying you by trying to stop you?" Ares said this aloud as he appeared to the mortals in the hut in a burst of flame.

"All of those times when the two of you would appear on the scene in the nick of time to stop some warlord from attacking a village, well it looks like the sandal's on the other foot this time. So the question is, what are you going to do about it?" he said, lightly stroking his dark beard with his other hand on his sword's hilt.

SMGAdmirer - March 27, 2006 03:39 PM (GMT)
Callisto

Callisto jumped as Ares appeared in the hut. She had been awaiting an answer from Gabrielle to her previous inquiries. What was Ares talking about? Xena was trying to stop the war? But why? The Amazons, even under the leadership of the red-haired brat, could beat those centaurs with one arm tied behind their backs. Why did Xena have to get involved any way?

Then it dawned on her. That's why Xena was talking to the half-breed. She was trying to get Sundara on her side.

Callisto studied Queen Gabrielle's face. It was unreadable. Either she didn't care that her once best friend was trying to stop her, or, somehow, she hadn't noticed the appearance of the god.

Either way, Callisto knew that things between Gabrielle and Xena were about to get intersesting. Then, thinking about her previous questions, she thought to herself, So, I was right in questioning the loyalty of the half-breed. She intends to act as an advocate to her centaur buddies to talk them into not going to war. To Callisto, this was unacceptable. It was treason and betrayal. She wouldn't let it happen.

She looked again on the Amazon Queen, still unable to read her emotions. You better do something about this, brat. she thought to herself. Outloud she said, "My Queen, is there anything that I can do for you?"

Gabrielle

Gabrielle listened to them all speak of her friend - no - her BEST friend, talk of her betraying her...

"Silence! All of you! Amarice! Bring me proof.... I can't very well just attack Xena on words alone, not that I don't believe you... but it would be foolhardy to just attack her without some physical evidicance beyond her being with the centaur... I need something more. Bring it to me and ... I will decide what to do with Xena..." she said, turning her back on them all.

Cyane walked back to the villiage and looked around. She didnt see the other queens and went to her own hut for a while before she left. Ordering someone to check on her daughter she took a staff and walked off. She headed for her amazons who where training and joined in and seemed to easily beat them. She ordered them to train harder.

Arianna

Arianna walked around trying to aviod everyone unless she had to talk to them. She grabbed her sword and started to sharpen it and watched everyone train. She watched how they did it and how they blocked every move. She got up and went to cyane and they together began to train not one of them backing down.

Callisto

Callisto knew that her conversation with Gabrielle was over, so she exited the hut. If that little...my queen...doesn't want to listen to me, I just have to get over it. I'll just go practice for battle.

She walked out of the hut and over to the nearby archey range. She started firing arrows at the target. Each one sailed to the center and split the previous arrow to shreds.

Sundara

Sundara broke into a trot then a slow gallop. She just wanted to run, keep herself in shape. Before she knew it she was actually in a centaur village. Great. She found them training, talking strategy or just going on with normal life. Backing out she went elsewhere. The last thing she wanted was to be spotted or recognized somehow.

Xena

Xena approached Varia very slowly so that she could read her expression. She wanted to know if she could trust her or not. If they ratted her out to quickly all would be lost. She needed to show Gabrielle that war was not the answer and who better to do that then the two lower level queens. "Hey I need to talk to you in private. It is concerning the war taking place not long from now."

Amarice

Amarice a little mad that the queen didn't take her seriously. If it were anyone else she would have killed her on the spot but not Xena. She wanted to move up in the chain but that wasn't going to happen with a one sided queen. She decided to go along with Xena’s plan. If it meant getting Gabrielle moved out of position then she was all for it. It might even give her time to train more with the mighty Xena.

Ares

When Gabrielle turned her back on everyone in the hut, Ares left just as some of the others did. He followed Callisto over to the archery range and picked up a bow, firing his arrows with equal skill to Callisto into his target.

"I have to admit" he began to speak to the beautiful blond beside him, "I was surprised to see you here in Gabrielle's Amazon village. I would have thought that a powerful warrior such as yourself would have challenged and killed her and taken the tribe for your own. Or did someone clip your claws a while back?" Ares enjoyed taunting Callisto. He had had some dealings with her a time ago, and knew she was usually like Greek fire with a short fuse.
