Title: The Next Generation
Jessica - March 14, 2006 09:02 PM (GMT)
Wyatt
Wyatt walked into the house, finall finishing his day at school, college even.
"Aunt Paige? Billie?" he called out. He was a little reluncant to tell them about the latest demon attempt, especially because it had come in school while he was at college and the demon had posed in the form of a professor but he had still been able to see his aura. He was even more so reluncant to tell them about the gypsy princess he meet
Paige Matthews - March 14, 2006 10:53 PM (GMT)
Paige: "Hey Wyatt-" Paige smiled at her nephew as she walked in to the foyer to greet him. "Billie isn't here right now, some work thing...but she'll be here later-" she smiled, commenting about Billie. "So how was your day?" she asked him. Ever since her sisters passed away she had engrossed herself in her niece and nephews, and now her unborn child. Henry had been more than supportive in every step that she took, and she couldn't help but love him more every day for it. Everytime she saw Wyatt or Chris, she couldn't help but see Piper and Leo, and although a part of her felt sad...she was happy that she had a piece of each of them still living and breathing around her. She loved them more than she could explain, and wanted the best for each of them. It was just hard to know what they needed from her to help with the grieving of the loss of their parents, especially Melinda because she was so closed to it all.
Chris: Chris orbed in to the manor, behind his brother. "Hi there family-" he said, his face with a smile, but his voice had a slight aura of sadness. His family didn't include his mother, father, or Aunt Phoebe anymore.
Paige: "Orbing, Chris?" she asked. "You know I asked you guys to be really really discrete about powers...we can't stand any demon attacks right now..." she told him, a stern but almost terrified expression on her face. Ever since her sisters had died, she was incredibly gun shy about demons. "You don't want them tracking you here..."
Chris: "Aunt Paige, don't worry so much!" he shrugged, but deep inside he understood his aunt's hesitence to magic now. "Bianca needed the car...so I told her she could borrow it, and I'd orb home..." he shrugged, knowing that his aunt knew that Bianca knew and accepting his magical inheritence...but to his knowledge, Paige had no idea Bianca had her own magical inheritence.
Paige: "Sorry Chris, worrying is not something that I will not stop doing," she smiled lightly, and looked at Wyatt, wanting the answer to her question about his day before Chris orbed in.

Melinda
Laying on the ground between the two graves, Melinda took a last drag on her cigarette, rubbed it out on the dirt, and then tossed it as far as she could. "So anyway," she said, finishing the long conversation she had just held with her mom and aunt. "I skipped school again yesterday. I know, I know, my grades are going to be crap, Aunt Paige is going to kick my ass, blah blah blah. Who cares? It's not like I'm going to live long enough to need school anyway. None of us ever do... Don't feel bad about it, though, okay? It's not your fault. Death is just a part of life and all that, right?"
She stood up, brushing dirt and damp off the back of her too-tight jeans. "I'll be back tomorrow, okay? I love you, all of you," Melinda said, then blew her mom, aunt, and uncle a kiss. "Later." She bent and picked up her keys, then ran barefoot across the grass, dodging headstones on her way back to her car. Unlocking it with the little remote, she slid behind the wheel of her mom's old silver mini-cooper. As the key turned in the ignition, rock started blasting out of the speakers, giving all of the dead a little treat. Melinda just smiled and cranked it up, then punched the gas and roared out of the graveyard.
She got home in record time, only running two lights and three stop signs, not bad for her. Turning off the car without bothering to turn down the music, she grabbed her purse from the back, then jogged up the front stairs and through the front door, still rocking out to the music in her head. And abruptly stopped when she saw the conclave gathered in the front hall. "Oh shit," Melinda said, rolling her eyes. "If this is about a demon, you can forget it. I'm done with the power of three. Any demons come after me personally, fine, but you can take care of the rest of them yourselves."
Then she took off at a sprint up the stairs and into her room, slamming the door shut behind her. Melinda locked it, like that would stop all the orbing assholes from doing whatever they want, then threw herself onto her bed to stew.
Paige Matthews - March 15, 2006 08:52 PM (GMT)
Paige: It was like a tornado went through the house as Melinda entered the door and ran quickly up the stairs. She didn't even have to to tell her they were just talking. Melinda was so involved in her own greiving and pain, she didn't realize that her family members were going through the same thing, and that they might actually be able to help her deal with it.
Chris: Chris shook his head lightly as his cousin came and went like a rain shower in Florida. "Should...I...we?" he asked, looking at his brother and his aunt. "She seems really upset...? We weren't even talking about..." he didn't say the word demon, but knew they understood what he meant.
Paige: "No, I think we should let her be. She's been skipping school again, but I can't go up and yell at her now...obviously..." she hated the way Melinda was acting, and wasn't particularly secretive about it but she knew that yelling at her wasn't any way to get through to her. The principle of the high school was quickly becoming her best friend with all the phone calls she'd been getting lately about Melinda, and Paige couldn't help but feel like it was completing her own karma from all the trouble she gave her parents when she was a teenager. "I think we can live without a fight in this house tonight..." she smiled lightly. She knew that confonting her directly would only lead to a confrontation, and she didn't want that. She wanted understanding and support of each other, and she wanted to show her nephews and neice that instead of arguing. "Are you boys hungry? What do you want for dinner?" she asked, them, glancing up at the stairs again quickly, worried about her niece.
Jessica - March 15, 2006 09:15 PM (GMT)
Wyatt
He shook his head, his cousin was much like his aunt was, or so he had been told. "I... Giselle and I... I kind of asked her out? But... maybe I can ask her over here? If that's okay, of course," he said, as an afterthought.
Just then Henry came walking through the door.
Henry
"Honey, I'm home!"
Paige Matthews - March 15, 2006 09:28 PM (GMT)
Paige: "Here?" Paige looked at Wyatt. She didn't want to tell him no...I mean...after all it was his house, and if he wanted his girlfriend to meet his family, who was she to say no? "Umm...well, I suppose it's alright...just let her know things aren't exactly in best condition here. I mean Melinda could explode at any moment, and we are so much weaker magically...demons could take advantage at any moment..." she said, finally admitting outloud what had been eating away at her. "It'd be better all around if she atleast had the choise of whether or not to expose herself to the Halliwell Manor as it is...now..." she sighed lightly. Things just weren't as good as they were before, and Paige knew it would take some time for everyone to adjust...but it felt like forever already.
Chris: "Ohh...Wyatt's got a girl-" he teased his brother. "And how brave you are to want her here!" he laughed slightly.
Paige: Paige was so relieved when Henry came in the door. He was like a breath of fresh air in the dankest of places. "Hi, baby-" she smiled at Henry as he approached her. "We were just discussing dinner," she commented. "Are you hungry?" she asked him.
Jessica - March 15, 2006 09:32 PM (GMT)
Wyatt
Wyatt rolled his eyes, "She kinda is cursed or something so I thought, hey, she couldn't be anymore safe than with us, right? But... I can tell her no, I mean, it's up to you Aunt Paige," he said, though he really wanted her to come.
Henry
Henry's eyebrow raised, "What did I miss? I'm starved, it was... hell--ish at work," he finished, trying to set good examples for his neice and nephews and speaking of which, "Where is Melinda? And who is cursed?"
Wyatt
Wyatt sucker punched Chris lightly, "Hey, you better be nice when you meet her, she looks like a goddess, I swear!"
Paige Matthews - March 15, 2006 09:42 PM (GMT)
Paige: "I don't mind Wyatt, just make sure she knows what she's getting in to, both demonically...assuming she knows about magic, and with the family dynamics...and well, speaking as a girl...I think I'd want to know if I was walking in to a house that was a little in distress. Besides, might get you some sympathy play-" she joked at her nephew.
Chris: "Aunt Paige!" he looked at her, shocked that she'd said that, but he couldn't help but laugh. "That's the funniest thing I've ever heard come out of your mouth!" he shook his head, and then looked at his brother, "Hey, I don't have a problem being nice to her if she looked like a hag. All other girls look the same to me. I got Bianca, that's all I need-" he grinned, knowing his brother would probably feel the same about some girl soon, if not this one.
Paige: She smiled at her nephews, and then answered Henry's question, "Melinda is upstairs, brooding I'm assuming. She skipped again today, and she smelled like cigarettes when she got home. She came in, yelled us that she wasn't going to fight demons and stormed upstairs. I think we need to just let her be for at least a little while, until dinner is ready. Poor girl...I know how she feel...I went through the same thing, but she just won't let me in-" she shrugged lightly, feeling the weight of her responsibility more as she verbalized it with her husband. It was so hard to know what the right way to guide them is, and she wanted to make sure they had the good foundation to a better life when they got older. "And uh...I guess Wyatt's new girlfriend is cursed...?" she answered, but didn't really have the details.
Jessica - March 15, 2006 09:49 PM (GMT)
Wyatt
"Her name is Giselle... She is a gypsy and she comes from a long line of this famous gypsy coven or something and she is cursed to die by her next birthday. Everyone does in her family. Rarely any females are living now because they'd have to have kids before their 21st birthday or something. She showed me this book that says only a great witch of power can break the curse and free her line of its doom or something. Personally, I think its crap but... her family has been dying on their 21st birthdays for the last 10 generations, so....."
Henry
"Great, so our night is going to be doom and gloomy then with Melinda?" he asked, though he loved Melinda like she was his own, sometimes it was more than he could take. He did take it though, for his wife and the fact that they were apart of the family -- or he was, whatever way you looked at it. Depending.
"How about we order out?"
"Oh and did the school call again? She is going to get kicked out soon, Paige."
Paige Matthews - March 16, 2006 12:04 AM (GMT)
Chris: "Well then Wyatt, maybe you can be her knight in shining armor, but you of all people shouldn't think it's crap...crap maybe that it happened...but not a lie!" he commented, not sure if he understood his brother correctly.
Paige: "Ording out sounds great..." she commented, glad she wouldn't have to be in the kitchen at all. She was exhausting from supporting the other life inside her, and like to save as much energy as she could...in case of an emergancy. "I know Stella on a first name basis now," she nodded lightly with an annoyed smile on her face. "Nice lady, but I wish we had more to talk about than Melinda's deliquency..." she sighed lightly. Paige knew Melinda wasn't stupid or anything...she was just disturbed right now. "She suggested maybe sending her to a councelor or even go as far as a psyciatrist...but...the last time someone in this family tried that...Phoebe and I..." she stopped, remembering when Leo and Piper had gone to the marriage counselor, and her and Phoebe got stuck in their memories. "Well...it didn't turn out that great," she finished, not wanting to verbalize the memory, for fear of tearing up or crying.
Jessica - March 16, 2006 12:12 AM (GMT)
Henry
Henry pulled his wife into a hug, "Aww, sweetheart, it's okay, it will be okay... How about... I try talking to her? You all have and I love you all but... it's different, you are all... magical and I'm not so maybe it would be different?" he suggested.
Wyatt
Wyatt looked at his brother, "Okay, so I don't really think it's crap but who would the powerful witch be to break the spell? She's only got a month before her birthday for crying out loud!"
Gaia - March 16, 2006 06:19 AM (GMT)
Melinda
God, no one even came up here after me?! They don't give a rats ass about me at all, do they? Shit, Mel, what did you want them to do, fawn all over you after you bitched at them? Ahhh! What the hell's wrong with me?! Competely frustrated with herself, she got up from her bed and went to where her iPod was plugged into its universal dock. Melinda quickly pressed a few buttons, spun the dial, and out screamed her loudest head banging rock. Satisfied, she got went back and laid down on her bed again, figuring it wouldn't be long until someone came up to yell at her.
Then she popped right back up. I've gotta piss, she decided, enjoying her freedom to cuss whenever she felt like it. Melinda got up from her bed and headed for the only full bathroom in the house. While washing her hands at the sink, she accidentally knocked Wyatt's shaving cream, razor, and toothbrush off the counter. Melinda automatically got irrationally angry, more because every little mistake she made weighed on her than because she was truly upset with Wyatt. Still, she picked up his toothbrush and marched right down the stairs, screaming.
"God, what the hell, Wyatt? You don't even fucking live here, you know! Why is all of your shit all over our bathroom? I hope you enjoy having hair in your toothbrush, beca-- ahhh," Melinda gasped, freezing at the bottom of the stairs, eyes wide and blank.
Her family sitting around the table, laughing, talking, and eating. A stranger, a girl, was sitting with them, a little akward but trying to join in on the fun.
Everyone was standing, dishes and food were all over the place. Chairs knocked over, Aunt Paige crouched behind the table, Uncle Henry out in the line of fire, right where he shouldn't be. Chris telekinetically flinging something away from him.
Then Wyatt. Wyatt and the girl, rising to fight. Wyatt calling Excalibur, lashing out at something, trying to protect all of them. Then--- then---
"Oh god," Melinda whispered, looking at her cousin with horror shining in her eyes. "I just saw you die."
Jessica - March 16, 2006 06:23 AM (GMT)
Wyatt
Wyatt was about to yell back at Melinda, totally had it with her when she stopped, in her usual "seeing the future" pose. Then .... "I just saw you die."
His eyes widened, "Surely you are mistaken, Mel... I mean, out of all of us, I've got the most powerful, no offense... It would take a hellva lot to kill me, babe..." he said, trying to calm her, forgetting the desire to yell.
Gaia - March 16, 2006 07:47 AM (GMT)
Melinda
Her eyes quickly went cold and hard. "Fine, whatever," she snarled at Wyatt, inwardly cursing her moment of weakness. "But just remember of this, All Powerful All Knowing Wyatt. You may have more power than me, but you don't have my powers. Which means that you have no idea what I just saw. Of course, if you want to die... oh, by the way, does your new girlfriend have a gypsy complex or something?"
Illustrating her point well, or at least she thought so, Melinda smirked at Wyatt. She knew full well that he had never said anything to her about a new girlfriend. Think you're so big and bad now, do you, cousin of mine? Truthfully, the moment she had seen him die kept replaying over and over again in her mind, petrifying her, but she would be damned to the eternal fires of Hell before she would ever admit it to him.
Gaia - March 16, 2006 09:10 AM (GMT)
Wyatt, Melinda, Henry
Wyatt's jaw tightened as he clenched his fists in and out without even realizing it. "I never said I was the most powerful ever, just .... nevermind and I know I don't have your powers, thats what makes us Charmed, Melinda... our COMBINED powers..." Then he realized what she had said, "GISELLE, yes, is a gypsy but.... well, not offically my girlfriend so no need for sarcasm!"
"That wasn't just sarcasm, Wyatt, you idiot!" Melissa snarled back, eyes flashing. "That was me trying to show you that what I see is truth! Is she or is she not coming to dinner tonight? Huh? Answer that one, buddy!" She was pissed. She had issued an important warning, and Wyatt just brushed it off like he was invincible.
"How would you know with all your damn sulking upstairs, huh?!" he yelled back, pissed. Henry sighed, "Guys, do we need to do this, now? This is exactly what whoever she saw probably wants, you at odds..... and its simple, if you don't have her over, Wyatt, you won't be together and the vision can't come true..." Wyatt flashed a look at Henry, "No way am I going to uninvite her just because I *might* get hurt protecting her!"
"The only way I would know is through my TRUTHFUL premonitions, genius. And there's no fucking MIGHT about it, asshole!" Melinda said, flinging her hands in the air. "You are going to get hurt tonight. You are going to die. And I'll be damned before I levitate one fucking finger to help you, if this is the way you're going to be about it. Oh, wait, I forgot. The all-powerful Wyatt doesn't need our help. Never mind then. I just hope your girlfriend doesn't kick it too, just because of your arrogance."
"We've never even gone out, brat! And lord knows, you never use magic anymore, so I'm surprised it even stays with you, I know Mom used to say when Aunt Phoebe stopped using hers, hers kinda left her or something, I'm surprised your magic hasn't deserted you and I don't need nor want your help! Maybe you'd like to watch me die... Something else to sulk about, right? Not get on with your life... You might as well as have died with our parents... Ya think this is how they want you to live in their absense?" he said, ending in a whisper, the fight gone from him.
Henry threw up his hands, "Enough! I will not have this in my house! If you are both going to act like children, you can leave and do it!"
"Fine by me," Melinda said, fighting back tears, and losing. She ran up the stairs and grabbed her keys, then jumped out her bedroom window and reverse-levitated herself to the ground, landing rather hard. Shaking it off, she headed for her car, tears pouring down her face. She loved Wyatt, she did, more than her life, more than anything, but she just couldn't stick around and watch him die, especially after what he had said. If he wasn't going to listen to her, so be it, but there was no reason for him to sling such nasty shit in her direction. "Maybe I should have died instead of Mom, or Aunt Piper," she thought, depression overwhelming her. "At least then there would still be some semblance of the Charmed Ones, instead of the bullshit that's going on now."
Wyatt sighed, "Fine!" he said, leaving the house and slamming the door behind him. Before he could get to his car he spotted Melinda at hers, "Great... You know --" he was saying when a demon shimmered in, forming a fireball and taking aim at Melinda. "Duck!" he yelled as he blasted the demon with a mangetitute of power that just came from deep within. It made the demon explode from the inside out. He never knew if it was energy or what... It just --- was. "Shit.... you okay?"
In front of Wyatt, still heading straight for the mini-cooper, she didn't see him until she heard the shout. Years of training had her hitting the pavement in a second, scraping her chin painfully across the cement. Melinda scooted quickly around so she could see what Wyatt was doing, catching the end of the vanquish. She rose swiftly from the sidewalk, blood dripping down her neck, staining the edge of her white beater a virulent red. "What do you care?" she asked, voice bitter. "I might as well have died anyway, right?"
"Yeah, I did it just because it pleases me to waste my time, Melinda... Look, truce? Please? Jesus, you know I didn't fucking mean it... I just... You think I don't miss them? Or hate their dead? Or even hate them or going off and dying or wish it were ME instead? You think YOU are the only one just because I act differently and am not so moody about it? Well, think again okay," he said, turning away.
"I know that--- it's not that I think-- oh, jesus god," Melinda said, taking a deep shuddering breath as she tried to explain herself. "I don't hate them. Or you. I never have. But-- I'm crap with my powers, Wyatt, and I'm going to get you all killed one day. And-- and even if I don't, it doesn't matter anyway, because we're all going to die. The demons are going to win, evils going to win, and we're going to die. That's what happens to all of the Halliwells. So I'm not going to waste my time getting close to you, only to have you be blasted to bits right in front of my face. I'm just not. I can't go through that again. That's-- that's why I spend all of my time with M-mom, and Aunt Piper, and e-e-even Uncle Leo... b-because they're al-al-already dead, so they c-an't hurt me any-anymore. Now d-d-d-do you get it? God..." Her crying got worse and worse as she went on, finally reducing her to stuttering tears. "I f-fucking HATE to c-c-cry, you know!"
He went over and pulled her into his arms, hugging her to him, "Hey.... You can't shut us out... You think our parents would really want that? Seriously, if they were here now, Dad would be stroking Mom's hair and telling us how we can't ever, no matter how bad the odds, give up... Mom would be pacing... and Aunt Phoebe... she'd be looking for a way to kick ass... I remember she was a major ass kicker.... Like you.... Except older.... You think they'd want us to waste our live mourning them forever and never living? We may die, but at least we can live first. They may have died but they loved first too, right?" he asked, the whitelighter in him coming to pass.
Melinda almost reluctantly let Wyatt pull her into his arms, finally giving up as her emotions overtook her embarrassment. She buried her face in his shoulder, sobbing and trying to make it stop, only resulting in making herself hiccup like mad. "Y-yeah," she replied finally, after a few minutes of out and out bawling. "And-and I do miss them, you k-now? B-b-but not as much as I m-miss all of you. I know, it's my own fault, but it's just so hard, Wyatt. To think of losing someone I love again like that... it's just not fair! But yeah, okay, life's not fair. I just don't know how to fix it, to fix me, you know?" She had stepped back from him, rubbing the tears from her cheeks with the palms of her hands as her breathing finally slowed. "I don't know if I can stop running."
He shrugged, "You think my life is so certain? Just cause I've got these awesome powers doesn't mean squat! I have no idea what they all are, or what they can all do or how to unleash them or control them all... Sometimes, I try to do something and I blow up something huge in my room. I run too, you just can't see it so easily.... As for my so-called girlfriend... the gypsy... you really see me dying to save her? Cause, the only way to break this curse is for a ordained powerful witch to save her or something..."
"Well then, she's set," Melinda said, grinning, a bit of her old fire back. "Cause you step right in front of an energy ball for her. Whiz, bang, splat, and all that. And it was in the dining room, we were all there, so... I assume that means tonight. I didn't get a look at the demon either, so that's a problem, because a lot of them have energy balls. We might just have to wing this one, unless you have some brilliant idea between now and then. Or I do. I mean, it could happen, right?"
He nodded, "Yeah but... I'm not ordained, ...... am I?" he said as an afterthought. "Powerful, prophecized, sure... but...." He started back towards the manor door, pulling her by the hand, "Better go back before Uncle Henry locks us out for good this time... Not sure he is gonna take our shit like Aunt Paige does."
"Yeah, he isn't. I mean, he doesn't. Or he won't, whatever. Um, I don't know if you're ordained or not," Melinda said, eyeing the door warily. She really didn't want to go back in there, or try to explain to hardnosed Uncle Henry how she got outside in the first place. "But maybe... I mean, if it's going to happen anyway, why not ordain you? That way, gypsy girl gets the curse broken, and we'll figure out a way to save you, I'm sure. Two birds, one stone."
"I guess.... Come on... " he laughed when he saw her face, "Face the music, brat...."
Sticking her tongue out at him, Melinda followed Wyatt into the house, feeling suddenly a lot better about her life in general. But she stopped again, right inside the doorway, quickly, empathically studying her Uncle Henry. Okay, pissed I understand, and maybe even worried, but… scared? Could he have been scared for me? She scanned the rest of her family. Oh my god, they all are, or have been. I didn’t mean to do that to them. I’ve got a hell of a lot to make up for.
She looked at her family, smiling nervously, then biting her lip. “Um, sorry? For everything?” Melinda said quietly, tightly gripping Wyatt’s hand for moral support.
Jessica - March 16, 2006 06:36 PM (GMT)
Wyatt
Wyatt gave Melinda a thumbs up before taking the manor steps two at a time and jogging up to the attic. Opening the door and going over to the book, he ran his hand over, pages flashed over and over to the spell. Perfect. With that he orbed downstairs to listen to Melinda.
"Sorry to interrupt but I thought this might help us, huh?" and with that, and his magic brewing he said the spell.
Hear my words
Hear my cry
Spirit from the other side
Come to me
I summon thee
Cross now the great divide
As they watched, Phoebe, Piper, and Leo presented themselves in front of them all.
Phoebe blinked rapidly.
Piper and Leo looked at each other and then at their children, "What's going on, Wyatt?"
He cleared his throat, "Thought maybe we could you know... Well, use some visual assistance."
Paige Matthews - March 17, 2006 01:47 AM (GMT)
Chris: Chris stood idly by as Wyatt and Melinda got in to it. He was the middle out of them, and he certainly didn't like fighting...if it wasn't necessary. He glanced at his Aunt and Uncle with an uncertain expression, and even backed away a bit, with an akward expression. He watched the events unfold...unsure of what to think - and shocked when their uncle told them to leave.
Paige: As soon as Wyatt and Melinda were gone, Paige's emotions, and hormones got the best of her. She started to cry. She missed her sisters, and felt helpless without them. Her nephew and neice couldn't get along, and the latter was constantly skipping school and getting in to trouble. Paige felt terrible for all of them for having lose their parents, and she wanted to help them all find their way home - but didn't know how. And to top it off she was huge, constantly craving things, either buring hot or freezing cold, and her mood was always changing.
Chris: Chris went to his Aunt's side and gave her a hug. It was the first time he'd seen her cry since her sister's died, aside from their funerals. "It'll get better, Aunt Paige..." he told, hoping it really would. Things seemed pretty gloomy right now.
Paige: Paige looked up as Wyatt and Melinda came in, and she tried to wipe her tears away, she looked at them both, but didn't say anything. In her own way, she was disappointed at them for fighting, but couldn't express it. Paige watched as Wyatt brought down the book, too tired to protest to anything they had concocuted up. As her sister's and brother-in-law appeared in front of her, she blinked several times, trying to get the tears out of her eyes, and then she spoke up, fighting more tears as she knew they couldn't stay. "Melinda had a premonition of Wyatt dying..." she told them, knowing that probably wasn't anything close to what they'd want to hear.
Gaia - March 17, 2006 04:24 AM (GMT)
Melinda
Worried as Wyatt left her alone to go to the attic, she threaded her fingers together, rocking back and forth on her heels as she waited for someone to say something. The silence was over whelming, and Melinda was about to break and talk first when Wyatt came back, carrying the book. What is he up to? she thought, watching him critically. As Phoebe, Piper, and Leo appeared in a swirl of golden light, Melinda gave a weird little sigh and froze, eyes fixed on her mother.
"M-mommy?" she said, reverting back to her childhood. "Are you-- really real?"
Paige Matthews - March 21, 2006 01:12 AM (GMT)
Phoebe: "Yeah, it's me baby-" she smiled sweetly at her daughter. She'd been with her every step of the way, and she felt her pain. She knew what she was going through, and she wanted to help.
Piper: Piper looked around the manor. It was odd being back there again, like a dream...but a dream of life. She smiled at her boys, and waved at her sister, but it was when Paige told them about Melinda's premonition that the classic worried expression crossed her face. "And how exactly do you think we can help?" Piper asked, not at all wanting his son to join them, even though they weren't in a bad place. She wanted her son to have a good, long life.
Paige: "Well..umm..." Paige faltered, actually not sure why Wyatt thought they could help, she looked over at Wyatt. "Well, you'll have to ask your son about that one-" she smiled. She missed her sisters so much, and seeing them again was almost hard. She had to stay in the frame of mind that they had to leave as soon as they were done talking.
Piper: "Wyatt?" she looked at him, with searching eyes.
Jessica - March 21, 2006 01:16 AM (GMT)
Wyatt
Wyatt cursed himself under his breath. Should have never summoned them. Bad idea.
"I thought... not for me... Maybe you knew still we didn't on a gypsy curse dating back ten generations? How an ordained witch, powerful enough could stop the curse... and save Giselle..." he said, not knowing he was the one and though he could try to stop it, the only way was from real true love. That was the answer to stopping the curse and saving his life.

Piper: "Honey, it's okay-" she assured him, letting him know that he did okay. She listened as he explained slightly the situation. She knew enough about what was going on to understand his short explination. After all, her Grams was teaching her the tricks of the trade when it came to "peeking" in on the living. "Wyatt, honey, curses are a really hard thing to break. I don't know how it is that the curse came to be, or what needs to happen to break it, but I'm sure that you have the power inside you to do. But..." she stopped, remembering what Paige said about Melinda's premonition. What if he didn't have the power enough to keep his life as he broke the curse?
Paige: "She's supposed to be coming here for dinner, that's when Melinda says her premonition happened..." Paige commented, wondering if she should retract her agreement to have her over. Better to be a little rude than loose her nephew too.
Phoebe: "Sometimes they can be misleading," Phoebe commented, having had many years of experience with the power. "Melinda, honey - what excactly did you see?" she asked.
Chris: Chris stood by, staring at his mother and his aunt. He didn't even know what to say, or how to react. His heart was pounding, and breaking at the same time. He knew they couldn't stay...they weren't alive.

Melinda
Forcing herself to stop staring at her mother, she listened as the sisters talked. Melinda, as the youngest, had never really weighed in on important things while her mother was alive, but now that she and her cousins had become the new Charmed Ones, things had changed. Which was what she was trying to remind herself, working on overriding a lifetime's training, when Phoebe asked her about her premonition.
"Well, it was longer than most," she replied. "Which kind of struck me as odd. But it started with everyone just hanging out at the table. I was sitting in my seat, watching everyone eat and talk and stuff. Giselle, Wyatt's girlfriend or whatever, was sitting across from me, next to him, and she looked really uncomfortable. Then it broke, and the next flash was of everyone fighting. Chris was flinging his hands around, throwing plates and stuff at something, and it looked like Uncle Henry had pushed Aunt Paige behind the table, which was flipped on its side. Then he jumped in to fight. Which he shouldn't do." She shot a look at her uncle, then continued.
"But anyway, it stopped again, and went on to Wyatt and Giselle. He stood up from the table, trying to protect her, and called Excalibur. But whatever it was went after them anyway, more than it went after the rest of us. Then Wyatt-- then Wyatt jumped in front of an energy ball to save her. It blasted him right in the chest, and he didn't call up his forcefield or anything. I--- I saw him slumped against the wall, and his eyes were all open and frozen, and his chest was just this horrible, mangled, gaping wound... and then it was over. I uh, I never really saw the demon. So I don't know what else I can tell you."
Melinda shifted uncomfortably, wondering if she had gone on too long. She was also determindly not making eye contact with Wyatt, because she knew that if she looked at him, she would just see him all dead and bloody, which was definitely something she didn't need to relieve over and over again.

Phoebe: Phoebe listened as Melinda recounted her premontion, and she could tell that it hurt her daughter to relive it. It sounded like a very detailed premonition, but it seemed odd that she didn't even get a hint of who it was that attacked them. She thought for a moment, unsure of what to make of everything that Melinda had told her. It seemed that it was pretty straight forward, but there were obvious holes...that could mean anything. She wasn't to sure what to tell them all, but she knew she couldn't leave without helping them at all. "It sounds pretty straightforward...but it concerns me that you saw not even a bit of whoever it was that attacked, and that there seem to be pieces of time missing. Whatever it is...it sounds like it has to do with the curse...that's pretty obvious," she added causually.
Paige: "That doesn't really help us much..." Paige commented, not meaning to count her sisters comments as meaningless, but it didn't really help them in what they should do.
Phoebe: "I know Paige, but I don't know what to tell you. Something big is going to happen, and it seems like the best thing to do is keep her away from the manor, or be prepared..."
Piper: "It sounds to me like she's an innocent. Whatever comes to the house, will probably go after her no matter where she is. She's safer here. And with the premonition...Wyatt...have Excaliber with you, and keep your guard up..." she told him. She didn't want to leave her son, and there be a chance that she see him on the other side. She wouldn't be able to stand it if Wyatt died so young.
Phoebe: Phoebe nodded with her sister, agreeing with her. It was so odd to be on the dead side of things. They'd summoned Grams and Patty so many times...it just was weird to be on the other side for the first time. "Melinda-" she looked at her daughter. "You can figure out the rest on you're own, I know you can. I'm with you every moment. You don't have to go to my grave to be with me. All you gotta do is remember me, and love me- and I'm right there," she told her with a motherly smile. "I love you honey-" she said, feeling the pull from the other side, and knowing she didn't have much longer to be here.
Piper: "Chris, honey..." she looked at her son, knowing she hadn't even acknowledged him yet. "You're gonna be okay. I love you...both of you-" she looked at Wyatt too. "Take care of each other?" she smiled at her sons, and then looked at her sister. "Look after them for me, will ya?" she would have cried if she had the ability to do so.
Phoebe: Pheobe smiled at Paige, and looked down at her clearly pregnant stomach. "And give our niece or nephew a big kiss for us when she or he is born," she felt her heart saddended, seeing everything that she was going to miss.
Without another word, or even glance the two of them disappeared, and nothing was left in their spot but empty space.
Paige: Paige put her hand to her mouth, and supressed a cry, and faught back tears. That was the part she didn't want to experience, loosing them again. She turned to Henry, and put her head on his shoulder, not wanting to deal with any of it.
Chris: Chris turned away, and walked out of the room. As he saw his mother and aunt disappear, it was like loosing them all over again. He went and sat in the living room, without saying a word to anyone. He sat there, trying to ignore his emotions.

Melinda
She listened to her mom and aunt's opinion, nodding along, then started to tear up. Melinda knew they didn't have much time left, and she would have loved to hug Phoebe, but also knew that wasn't possible. I'm still going to go see them, all of them, at the graveyard. I don't care what she says. She would miss it if I didn't, I know. Her little bit of rebellion helped her calm down, but not enough to stop the tears from streaming down her cheeks as her family disappeared. "I love you, Mom," she said, then turned away, watching Chris walk out of the room.
She followed him, sitting next to him on the couch, and took his hand in hers. "I fixed things with Wyatt, I guess," Melinda said quietly. "But not with you. Are we cool? You can yell at me, if you want to. I don't mind, honest. I know I kind of deserve it." Chris had always been the more introspective of the three of them, the quiet thinker, and it was almost easy to overlook him. Still, he had also been more understanding of her feelings than anyone else, or at least it seemed that way to her, and she wanted to be close to him again.

Paige: Paige took in a deep breath as she watched everyone dispersed. "I guess I better go get the food ordered..." she said softly to Henry, and left the foyer too. She couldn't stand to see the empty space where she'd seen her sisters just a few moments before. She went into the kitchen and started to rummage around the kitchen for the different take out coupons and numbers they had.
Chris: Chris half smiled at Melinda when she entered the room, and listened as she said her speech. "We're fine, Mel, and I don't want to yell at you," he told her, squeezing her hand. "I just want you to be around, and I want you and Aunt Paige to fix your problem...I want to be a family again..." something had been bothering since he heard his aunt Phoebe mention the graveyard. "Have you been skipping school to go to their graves?" Chris asked lightly, not wanting to touch a sore subject. "Because what Aunt Phoebe said...I thought?" he looked at her, waiting for an answer.
