Personality She comes off as shy, quiet and demure. And for the most part she is. But if pushed, she'll stand up to you, and be one of the harshest people you've ever crossed. The only time she breaks out of her shell is at her job, but even then she never hangs with people from work, or people she meets at work becuase she is embarrassed about that part of her life.

History Kaitlyn was born to very proper Southern parents, and raised as such. This raising is still in the core of her: manners, do not speak unless spoken too, girls are meant to be pretty things...maybe a little coy. A year ago, they were killed....by what she could've sworn weren't even human....men with weird faces (vampires).

It was then that her world fell apart. Everything slowly began to slip from her grasp, and she found ehrself with no money, barely a place to stay, and pregnant by a guy who had left her. She worked many dead end jobs until the baby was born. And then she did something she never thought she'd do. She became a stripper. It was a lot of money and fast. She could afford a babysitter, an apartment, everything she needed to raise her kid.

And then one night when she was walking to ehr car after work she was attacked by a demon. Atfirst she paniced...and then instinct kicked in and took over. And she found herself wining quickly, much to her own disbelief.
She killed the demon and got home safely that night, but the demons blood got on her...and now she can feel other peoples emotions (empathic).

This greatly freaked her out. But so did the strangers finding ehr at work, and then showing up on her doorstep, jabbering on and on about destiny. But they knew what ahd happened to her. And feeling everything was driving her crazy, so she went with them, taking her baby.

She just wants to know how to control this empathic thing. Not how to kill things...not that she was necessarily bad at it. Part of her knows she has a destiny to fulfill, but another part of ehr wants to ignore that...she has a child, she already has responsibilities. She can't die, there's no one else to take care of Mary then.

Personality: In contradiction to her name ( Shizuka = Quiet in Japanese ) she sometimes mutters to herself, humming a song stuck in her head, and sometimes says things that she shouldn't say, which... In retrospect, this often gets her into trouble. Quirky at times, all she does is with good intentions, even if the result seems the contrary. There are times, however, where she knows it's time to be serious and thoughtful of her actions. She seems to want to carry more than she can bare at times.

History: Shizuka was born into a Priestess mother and Priest father, whose family looks over the Yabe Shrine. One of the many shrines in Japan that owns great recognition. The Yabe family name held great pride and was thought of as trust-worthy with the Kyoto locals. However, only known to a select few and ofcourse, members of the Yabe family, they not only looked after the shrine, but protected most of Kyoto with other family clans from demons that threatened to do harm to the people of Kyoto. This had become a great legacy and tradition within the Yabe family, so it was no surprise that Shizuka grew up, learning to fight, both with physical and spiritual attacks, all done in secret. Outsiders had no idea that they were protected in this way.

When Shizuka first turned 16, she joined her family in the fight against demons, refraining from most if all social activity with classmates. It never seemed to bother her, though. It seemed to go well for her and her family, until one night, durring an attack, something didn't go as planned, resulting in several deaths of innocent lives, including Shizuka's parents, and her brother. Fortunately, those of the Fujiwara Clan slain the demon responsible for these lost lives. But, the damage had been done. The Yabe family, consisting of now, only Shizuka and her younger sister Midori who had just reached 16, were left. However, to Shizuka's surprise, they were both excluded in these activities, by request of the Fujiwara Clan. The trust of the Yabe family name was gone, it no longer mattered what the Yabe family did in the past, that night was inexcusable, the name was tarnished.

Upon pleading to the Elders of the Fujiwara Clan, Shizuka was given a task to redeem the family name, to repent for the mistake her family made that night that wasted many innocent lives. The Elders, knowing of a strong presence of demon activity in a city in America, proposed that Shizuka would go there for her atonement. She agreed, leaving Midori to the care of the Fujiwara Clan, and from there, she went to Los Angeles.
