Storm for Regular Xmen
Storm walked into the room and looked around and found who she was looking for Wolverine "hey we got a problem there is some men coming and we need to get everyone together and fight them there looking for a fight and we better give them a good fight".
"What else shall we do some of them look big and scary can we fight them off some how so they don't hurt our people to badly I can make a storm come so that will slow them down a while then we can come up with a big plan to get rid of them."
Hey Ashlee, we need a bit more to each paragraph, please, and also watch the run-on sentences when speaking. If you clear those things up, we'll take another look at the audition.
I'd also like to audition for the Storm role, if that's alright.
Storm crept through the darkening forest, surrounded suddenly by myriad creatures and shadows. Her heart quickened in the heat of the sinking twilight, she could hear the men up ahead. She had picked an ideal vantage point as they could not see or hear her approaching. The air filled with their cries of violence and war, the barbarians attacking her people once again. Memories threatened to take over but she pushed them away steadily. She could not let her emotions get the better of her in this situation.
It was stealth that was needed here; for the good of her people she had to remain calm and focus her powers. She closed her eyes and summoned a dense, overpowering myst. When she opened her eyes several moments she could see it slowly making its way toward the clearing where the mercenaries now stood, their weapons poised as if the poor farmers would strike out at any minute. She could see the shadows of the village people moving around in their small huts, safe for a little while as the soldiers wandered the village.
In Storm's mind she could see the men enclosed as they had kept her people at bay. Whipped and tormented in the same manner. Her thoughts drove the myst, which had now become completely impenetrable. It formed a great inclusion around the men, who - for all their happy conversing - hadn't, as yet, noticed anything. She knew the moment to act would soon be upon her and she braced herself, gathering her strength to call up the strong winds that would carry the soldiers away, the lightning that would keep them away and the rain that would drive them to enlarge the distance between themselves and the small village they had plagued for the last time.
Her focus fell on the tallest of the men, he had now noticed the wall blocking their way. With loud gestures and escalating words they sought to find a way through the mysterious substance which seemed to them a ghostly apparition. Concentrating on the wind above she called it forth in a great, bellowing gust of dust and ice. Their grip lost on the muddy ground below them the men wailed fearfully as, with a sudden lurch, they were swept up and away from the village, their weapons falling to the now lost safety of the huts and rondawels. She called out the lightning and thunder, as of the voices of the gods. She rose up into the air on the wind, following the soldiers on their rugged path, setting them down on the summit of a tall mountain, miles away from their original location. Shivering and with wide eyes they saw the lightning flash angrily in the sky, they heard the rauchous cry of thunder in its stead, small droplets falling heavily from the blackened sky, followed by their brothers of ice.
The gale caught them on the side, forcing them down, their arms raised in attempt at protection against the cruel shower of hail and rain. They crawled along the jagged terrain, their hands and knees cut by the ever sharpening rock edges. They scrambled painfully to their feet and scampered quickly down the mountain, further and further away from her people.
The storm died down as Ororo reclaimed her position at the edge of the forest, studying the shadows for any sign of movement. Content in the thought that the soldiers were now a great distance away and they could no longer cause any damage.
