Here is where all posts go having to do with activity that takes place in Room #2

After speaking with her brother, Christine looked back at her map and continued with her quest to find her dorm room. She would just be glad to get rid of her luggage at this point. Then she would take the rest of the day to acquaint herself with her new home.

Walking down the hallway she started reading all the doors until she finally found the one she was looking for. "Well, here it is #2."

Out of politeness she knocked on the door. When she received no answer, she slowly opened the door. "Hello?" Seeing no one she walked inside and made her way over to the bed by the window where she placed her duffle bag. She then took a seat on the bed and looked out the window.

Christine found herself daydreaming out the window which was something she normally did to escape the every day world. Unfortunately doing it in class was something that caused problems at times. But this time she was alone.

She found herself thinking about her brother, Fox who was at the music academy not too far from her. When she had mentioned to him about girls, he had been silent and that made her wonder. He had always been shy around girls, had that changed? She would have to be sure to ask him when she saw him that weekend.

And then....she found her mind wandering back to the young man that had serenaded her with his voice. Who was he? Why did he have this effect on her? She had had admirers in the past to be sure but it had always been easy to find a way to not be interested in something more than a friendship. So why could she not stop thinking about him?

She shook her head. "No, I...I can't do this to myself! I came here to learn theatre and opera. I can't let anything else get in the way. Just forget about him, Christine. Concentrate on your studies. And if you see him...be kind but not...overfriendly."

She then turned her head upon hearing the voice in the doorway about servicing. "Excuse me?" She sighed recognizing the very person she had just been thinking about. "You?" She then saw his shirt half off and averted her eyes. "Oh my god! What are you doing?"

Noah looked down at himself and giggled, like a little boy who'd been caught stealing jam; "You know you love it Freckles." He said, in a way of greeting, sitting on the bed opposite her.

"Well well well, isn't this cosy? What, why are you looking at me like that? Psht, sorry about my brisk exit, your voice was too sexy to handle."

Noah looked at the floor, then back at her. If he wanted to talk to her, he didn't need to put on this flirtatious pretence. She was unlike any other girl, her ways completely different. She enjoyed civilised conversation and classical music - not Tom Jones and a strip tease.

"God I'm such an idiot. Sorry, sorry Christine. I'm like Jeckyll and Hide. I've just... never met someone like yourself."

After another long silence he cleared his throat, scratching his bare chest; "But I do like the nickname Freckles."

"Would you please stop calling me that?!" Christine asked. "Looking at you?" She lifted her eyes to him for a second only to see his chest. She brought her hand up to cover her eyes. "Oh god. Look, it is very uncomfortable to me speaking to someone who is half naked. As for you leaving me in the middle of the hallway, I almost expected it. What I DIDN'T expect was to have you come walking into my dorm room. You say that you have never met someone like me before? Why's that? Because I'm not...throwing myself at you like the other girls of this academy would?"

phantom - April 3, 2006 05:59 PM (GMT)
"Well if I wasn't so damn hot, I wouldn't have the problem of being leapt on! My hips can only take so much damnit girl." Noah growled angrily, pulling his shirt over his head and lying on the whoevers bed, either leg on each side of the bed; an all too familiar position of his.

"Sorry. I just. Urgh, and I'm calling you Freckles whether you like it or not. Hey-" Noah said, sitting up, and scratching the back of his neck;

"Wanna sing some more?"

Noah Irons had never been as bold as this before, why, when he was fifteen he was quite the quiet one. A loner. But, the stage had tempted him, as it had done with all these people, and he had soon opened from his shell, realising that yes; actually he did have unique acting talents and yes; he was good looking. Girls who had never wanted to know him now followed him in his schools corridors, and teachers and students alike had new found respect for him.

He had become used to being loved, something he hadn't experienced before, it was hard to work between his two personalities;

"I'm sorry, God I'm an idiot! I was just never taught people skills, you would have thought my mum would have...." Noah sighed, shaking his head and staring hard at the floor.

Christine listened as Noah spoke. She could hear the tension in his voice. She slowly lowered her hand and saw that his shirt was back on. "Noah, you're not an idiot." She sighed. "We're just....two different people. You're more outgoing when it comes to people whereas I am quite shy." She took on a distant look. "My problem is I have had to deal with guys in high school and they were just all jerks. They only talked to me because I was pretty and not for my personality. To them I was considered a geek because I spent most of my time in music and theatre. And when I saw you flirting with Angelica, I just assumed you were like them. And...I'm so far away from home being here. I shouldn't have snapped at you and I'm sorry. It's not right that I take out all my anger on you. The last thing I wish to do is make enemies here. So...let's try this again." She held out her hand to him. "I'm Christine Owen.

phantom - April 3, 2006 06:28 PM (GMT)
Noah smiled, his eyes shining in the light. He took her hand and shook it gently, "Noah Irons. Pleased to meet you". His smile was friendly, even though it still came across as flirtateous, he wanting this introduction to be the right one. Sitting on the bed, he leant forward, his hands in his lap, neatly crossed;

"All men are jerks, ALL men-" he winked; "- Oh believe me, I've had my fair share of jerk-encounters. But in your case, its jealousy I'm sure. You're amaz- You're voice is amazing Fr- Christine. I'm not just saying it, I... I was shocked."

He smiled again, scratching at his stubble and running his fingers through his hair as he tried to relax. Now he had good conversation, he had to mantain it, that and pray her roomate did not enter too quickly - he'd like to prolong this talk. Perhaps, if he was lucky enough, she'd sing again.

Glad that Christine didn't think he mentioned his mother for attention, it made the atmosphere more pleasant; he didn't feel like he'd have to be loud and laary, seeing as Christine was so shy. It was a nice change that he didn't have to entertain her in the way he was used to, he could maybe speak his mind for once, and not be laughed at. Whenever he tried to have subtle conversation he was laughed at, and more alcohol was brought into the situation.

With her, it was different. He was different.

"Not in the bad way mind! It was a nice shock - I guess I now have a Phantom buddy huh?"

Christine shook his hand. "Nice to meet you, Noah."

She felt herself relaxing a little more now that he was not baring his chest and muscular arms at her.

Oh god! Don't think about that!

She cleared her throat. "You really think my voice is good? I mean...it's one thing when your family says it or...or even your friends because you wonder if they are telling you not to hurt your feelings. And...I lived in a smaller town so the talent there was not as much as it would be in a large city. But this is an actual drama academy....where they won't accept second best." She shook her head. "I'm sorry, I didn't meant to start ranting. As for a phantom buddy? Well, I've never really had one before."

phantom - April 3, 2006 06:58 PM (GMT)
Noah laughed as Christine doubted herself; "Come now pet, you've got the greatest voice I've ever heard! And girl, I've been around! My brother, Phillip? He's gonna want to meet you, and I'm gonna have to beat him away! You wait, you'll snag the lead in all these plays, and there I'll be, second best and superior to you." He lauged, a certain seriousness playing in his voice.

Of course, he wanted to take the main, he always had. Some things however, did not turn out the way he would like them to. Blood Brothers being a perfect example of this - he did not get the part he wanted. And he was rejected from playing the part of the Phantom in Her Majesty's theatre, all because of insufficiant fundings. Everybody knew though - it was because of his past, his... present and future.

"Huh, I should consider myself lucky even being here!"

Christine gave a half smile at the term pet. She secretly enjoyed talking with people from other countries because of their language differences. And she always thought that men from European countries appeared to have more affectionate names for their ladies than American men.

"Second best? I hardly think so. Anyone who can sing Music of the Night in Italian is hardly second best. It's obvious you impressed the faculty there in the theatre, I have no doubt of that. And you deserve that recognition so take it. You see...you belong in a place like this. As for me....I'm just a small town girl in a strange land. And yes I have done some other theatre things but...that was amateur. This...this is going toward the professional road. And think about it. It's obvious you are not from America. You could have gone to any school in the world and yet you came here. There is obviously a reason that they took you."

Noah hoped he was not being too bold by touching her hand for a moment, hoping to comfort her; "Christine, you'll see soon that you are much more special than the other women here. I knew it the first moment I saw you - you'll go far, I'll see you in Broadway one of these days, lass!"

He crossed his arms and shivered in happiness as he started to settle in this conversation between himself and Christine.

"Special? You're right in that I'm not like most of the girls who have passed through these halls. I'm not a teacher's pet nor will I go out of my way to impress my teachers. I'm not a drama queen. People need to accept me for who I am or just leave me alone. I don't change for anyone. And as for broadway...I'm only 17 years old. My mother wanted to see me go into opera actually more than broadway. I'm taking the opera workshop here so...I guess I'll see what it's like."

phantom - April 4, 2006 03:07 PM (GMT)
Noahs features sparked into life at Christines last remark; "You're taking Opera Workshop - so I won't be alone then." He said grinning, clapping his hands and slapping his leg in a playful manner. The beds cover began to slide, and drop to the floor, along with his coat - his pills falling onto the floor.

Rushing to pick them up, he muttered his apologies, flushing scarlett momentarily before gathering his belongings and standing up, stuttering;

"I, I should... g-go. I'll... Bye Christine. Look- Look me up."

Closing her door softly he sighed, leaning against the wood. "That was close." Moving next to Christine's room, he knocked on room number one, and with nobody answering, stepped into his dormitory and lay on the bed closest to the window.

"Well, at least I'll know one person in there now." Christine replied back with a slight smile. She then saw what looked like pills falling from his pocket. "Oh, you dropped your..."

But he appeared he was already WAY ahead of her in picking them up and at a feverish rate no less. She found this very curious indeed. "Noah, there is no need to apologize. I..."

And before she knew it, he was on his feet and heading for the door. She went to say something but he was already halfway out the door. "Well....bye." She replied in an uncertain tone. The door closed. "I guess."

She sat there on the edge of bed contemplating his behavior for a few moments. "Now come on, Christine. You said you weren't going to think about him, remember? Besides, I need to get unpacked and then see just what this place is all about."

She turned to her luggage and started to put some things in one drawer of the dresser along with some stuff in the closet. After Noah's unexpected arrival, she couldn't wait to see who her true roommate was.

Christine Owen and Secretary

Christine turned on the tiny boom box that she had brought with her and placed a Best of Opera CD in it. She found herself humming to Quando men vo as she finished taking care of her luggage. Musetta from La Boheme was not a particular character she could see herself playing but the aria was playful. She then heard a knock on the door and went to answer it.

Her smile faded as she saw a woman standing there with a few buttons undone to her blouse.

Oh PLEASE don't let this be my new roommate!

"Uhhh....can I help you?"

"Is this...Room #1?" The secretary replied with a sultry smile.

"Ummm, no this is Room #2." Christine replied.

"It is?" The secretary replied. "Oh, sorry sweetie, I didn't realize. I'll just be on my way then."

"Wait." Christine replied. "Can I ask...just who you were looking for?"

"Noah Irons. Do you know him?"

"In...passing."

"Isn't his bod just to die for? And that accent? Mmmm....I'm getting all hot just thinking about it." The secretary replied. "Well, sorry to disturb you." She then walked down the hall.

Christine closed the door. "She was looking for Noah? That bastard! He IS like all the rest! Well, we'll see just WHO gets the last laugh on this one! If he thinks he is going to be all sweet with me....putting on some kind of act just to..." She shook her head. "Oh, he is so barking up the wrong tree!"

She turned off her CD and after grabbing her map and purse, angrily left the room.
