RPG Title The Last Weyr on Pern
RPG Plot Based on Anne McCaffrey's "Dragonriders of Pern" series. When man first came to the planet named P.E.R.N., they discovered a unique species of lifeforms they named Firelizards, these creatures had six limbs (four legs and two wings) and resembled the terra base mythological figure called the dragon. These firelizards had the unique gift of psychicly bonding with a human and they could teleport, further more, by chewing a phosphine bearing rock, they could breath fire. When Thread, a rain of threadlike silver filaments of a space-borne mycorrhizoid spore that devours all organic matter that it touches, fell on the colony, the last of their technology was used to develope these firelizards into dragons! These 'dragons' psychicly bonded to their chosen riders at birth and train from that day forward to sear Thread before it can fall to Pern. Over time, great heroes rode astride noble dragons, such as Weyrwomen Moreta and Leesa. Now, when the people of Pern think Thread will fall no more, the dragon numbers dwindle...And then Thread falls again.
