Claire is a charismatic and charming girl, one set firmly in her beliefs about equality and humanism. Seeing the idea of patriotism as a dangerous one, Claire works for the good of mankind rather than any particular country, and has been branded before as a communist despite her more moderate left-wing philosophies. An optimist, Claire prefers to find the good in people, and makes friends easily. She much prefers the outdoors to the indoors and can be usually seen working on her writing outside. Claire is loath to insult even the cruelest of people and firmly believes anyone can be rehabilitated given enough time and support. She is a strict vegetarian and a pacifist.

The only child of a young French couple, Claire was raised in a happy and loving home. It was there she first learned equality- her parents being particularly adamant that all people and things were made equal under God- and a love of animals, being surrounded by a large number of pets from an early age. As the girl began to grow older she acquired a number of friends with similar viewpoints, and though her religious views began to be toned down a bit, her moral ones were amplified. Through the urging of her friends Claire swore off any meat and indeed products that came from animals all together.
As a teenager, Claire came to learn of Hitler, seeing through his thinly veiled nationalism and resenting the party he lead. Already a full time writer, Claire and several other acquaintances started up an underground newspaper called Humanité, urging equality among people and offering a strong opposition to the Nazi Party. Though the paper experienced little popularity at first, an increasingly left-wing French youth picked up the publication, and soon enough the paper became part of an even larger movement, the beginnings of the French Resistance.
Now a full fledged and indeed influential member of the Resistance, Claire still writes for Humanité, though she's expanded her articles to other underground newspapers. She has a wealth of contacts and friend's all across and around France, and, with their help, has opened a number of tunnels for those fleeing the Nazis' wrath, though she still refuses to let Allied soldiers use the tunnel to set up attacks.
