On the northern edge of Köln sits a three story building, nestled amongst some trees some ways to the right of the road. Lit warmly, it looks inviting, and as one steps closer to the building you can hear the sounds of satisfied people talking and eating. Music plays from a radio somewhere inside. A sign is mounted above the door.

Juden Verbotene*
Inside, you enter the bar. The people heard outside sit here and there, or in the dining room. A young man stands behind the bar -- Jörg Weissman, younger brother of owner Emilie Weissmann. The Hotel Weissmann is known for good food, and the rooms on two upper floors are clean and comfortable. Prices for food and board are cheaper than most -- but the clientel is large enough that they make nearly more than other hotels in the area.
The Hotel Weissmann gives off a almost homey air, with the exception of one thing. On the wall above the fireplace hangs the Hakenkreuz. This is a place of Nazis, make no mistake of it.
