I think it is ok to appreciate your squeegee, and to clean it lovingly, but I think it is wrong to put it up on a shelf or mount it on the wall and then light incense and chant or pray to it.
You want the squeegee to be pliant and flexible, to work for you and not the ink. If you give the squeegee an inflated view of itself, treat it like it's special or unique or (gasp) better than an ink jet nozzle or some litho ink stained roller, well that's just asking for trouble.
